When you get your Canadian citizenship (either before the bill, or after the bill with longer residency), and if your occupation and education is in the NAFTA-approved list of occupations, you will still be able to work in the US (if you find an employer willing to hire you). If you go to a job interview and get a job offer, getting the work permit is just a matter of going to a port of entry and the customs and border officers will just give you the permit (if they are satisfied with the details).QAI said:
