hey guys ,
hope all is good ,my husband emailed the embassy in beirut asking them abour our application and here is their reply :
Your sponsorship file was received in our offices and was supported by an agent. It remains only to wait at the moment because nothing is asked for more on the record now. Yet the processing time for a sponsorship file in Beirut is 21 months.
And thats it my friend :) another disappointment :(
just wanted to keep u up to date .

Question, I applied in October 2012. Processing times then was 18 months. Now it is 21 months. Does the 18 months apply to me or 21 months?

21 months, and this duration will apply for 80 percent of all cases between October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013.

I emailed Beirut today, and they responded nearly an hour later. They said his application is still waiting for security results and they can't give a specific timeline for this stage. They also said that he would be contacted directly once they receive the results. Inshallah khair, I think we're close now!

Sue89 this refusal won't affect your sponsorship application. I know people that tried visitor while having sponsorship app in process got refused then got their visa after. You know visitor visa is very random and it has 50%chance. Don't feel bad it is all good. They give random reasons which don't make any sense arab21 applied for sponsorship for his wife in may 2013 and 2 months or 3 months later he applied for visitor visa during the strike and she got a visa for six months I think. I think it is luck and all the reasons they give you for refusal are usually random in my opinion.

Thats correct, my wife got approved for a tourist visa after we applied for our pr. if anyone wants the letter i sent them please let me know...she is currently staying with me for 6 months.

Hi all,

I just got my notes today and they look the same as the ones from November. I noticed that these were dated to January 28, 2014. Anyway no changes at all :(

I was hoping I see something changed but it is very dissappointing :(

I requested to extend the medical validity by another year, I sent an official request by e-mail as advised by a CIC agent. After a week or so of doing that I requested my notes again. I am expecting to at least see the e-mail I sent them among the notes, I will keep you guys updated with that, I should receive the notes early March.

You need to be a Canadian Citizen or physically be in Canada (by providing a canadian mailing address to which the ATIP notes will be sent).

You also need a scan of the consent form signed by the SPONSORED spouse, which is the principal applicant. (form IMM5744, google it as I don't have a link)

You will then request the ATIP at the above link with the following details:
Requesting Information on your behalf: No
Requesting information belonging to a deceased individual: No
Category of Requester: Member of the public
Right of access: Depending on your situation. Mine is "Canadian Citizen"
Act: Access to Information Act
File Type: Immigration File: Permanent residence
Type of Records: Case Files
Type of Documents: Electronic Files (make sure you do not select physical files, as they would have to retrieve your file from visa offices to actually scan it)
Method of Delivery: Email (allthough last time, they sent them by post to my Canadian address)

You will then need to upload the consent and pay a 5$ fee through credit card. I tried with a Lebanese card and it works perfectly fine.

Here you go Sue

HELLO
WE JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM THE CANADIAN EMBASSY SAYS THAT WE HAVE TO COMPLETE "SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORMS" AND GAVE US 7 DAYS TO COMPLETE AND SEND THE FORM. DID ANYONE RECEIVE SIMILAR EMAIL LIKE THIS?
