Hi
I am a foreign worker and a long haul truck driver. The company I am working for currently is the worst managed company. I wonder how they are able to acquire LMIA's and not able to find local workers for a fleet of 10 trucks. I mean if a company who owns 10 trucks could not fill their staff positions locally there must be something seriously wrong with how the company is running. If you could get access and go through their employment records you would be surprised that countless drivers get hired and quit after working only a few days and very few or a couple stays longer. I know 10-15 foreign drivers who quit after few months working with this company. One of the drivers were forced to drive couple hours after he was back from his previous trip and was supposed to get his 36 hours off. I very rarely get to spend my 36 hours off at home because I get call from dispatcher randomly in the middle of my off duty and I am forced to go to work. I am expected to cheat on my log books so that my drivers log is reset and I can pick up load and start a fresh trip . I have applied for my PNP about a month and half ago after I begged them to sponsor me and obtained the required documents. I am really worried what is going to happen because I am sick and tired of the way they treat me.
I don't know how PNP office could help me with the situation but I don't want to make it worse. Hopefully you can give me some options that can help me get out of the situation if u can not help please don't make it any worse by taunting me or telling me how bad i am with stickng with this company. I can share more details when you get back to me.
Thanks
Oh, I hear you. You are not alone in your predicament, I know of many cases, me included, who went through same. I am now on my second LMIA, after two years in one company which was like yours from your description, I hunted for a new LMIIA and now applied with their support. Two years wasted, lots of hardship. The job itself is - well, it is what it is, I see all this as sacrifice I have to make to get in. If you already applied with their support, stick to it until your current work permit is about to expire, then try finding another LMIA - if pnp doesn't respond by then. Hang in there, you are not alone!

Express Entry BC PNP Documents in French

Received Invitation to apply BC PNP - Skilled Worker Category but help required. In my BC PNP registration I mentioned that my highest education is Master. I have two masters one I did in France and the most recent one in Canada. However, my French Master degree certificate is in French. In this case do I have to translate the certificate in English or BC PNP will accept the document in French.

I am only claiming points from my Canadian Master. Please help!

Update: I received the same request in email today, asking for Class 1 driver's license. I had uploaded it in my application, but didn't want to be a smartass and point that out, so just sent it to them in reply email.

Let's see what happens now. Employer says still no contact.

I used to work on similar things, so from my experience, this could be the reviewing officer just buying some time for himself, he is probably ploughing through high piles of cases assigned to him, so sending emails asking this and that makes it appear he is working on the case, while he is clearing up backlogs. But hey at least something is happening. Maybe they reach a decision by next week, fingers crossed.
. Hi! Decision made. My husband got nominated. You could be soon too. Our app took 62 days. Good luck!

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi Guys,

I have a question and I couldn't find the answer despite searching:

I am working on a Post Graduate Work Permit and I am planning to apply for PNP with my current employer. Do I meet the following requirement? Or does my employer need to advertise the position?

"Subject to verification, the BC PNP may consider this requirement to be met if:
1. you have a valid work permit from IRCC and are currently working for the supporting B.C.
employer in the occupation identified in the job offer "

Post Graduate Work Permit is a valid work permit issued from IRCC, so your employer doesn't have to advertise the position.

If you have a written offer from the employer in BC and you have 2 years of working experience, you can enter your information into SIRS system and waiting for ITA.

Hello everyone:
Is it mandatory to do ECA or take IELTS for EEBC-International Post-Graduate program? The reason I'm asking because once we get the PNP nomination, it gives us 600 points in the federal level. That means it is almost guaranteed to get an ITA in the next draw, regardless of IELTS and ECA. Thanks for your input.

For EEBC, you need IELTS and ECA, since for Express Entry itself, it has such requirement. If you apply EEBC you need to meet both EE and BC PNP's requirement.

Hello,

I just got invitation to apply for BC PNP. Currently I'm under IEC Young Professionals work permit which will expire in 3 weeks (mid of Sep).

My question is: when I submit my BC PNP application and pay the fee, can I obtain any other work permit or work permit extension or bridging work permit which would allow me to keep working until BC PNP makes a decision on my application?

You can only apply to the BC PNP without a job offer if you are applying as an international student with a master’s or doctoral degree from a B.C. university in the natural, applied or health sciences under the Express Entry BC or Skills Immigration stream.

All other categories of BC PNP Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC require you to have a job offer.
