Hey, So I’m preparing to land in BC in September with my wife, ahead of starting work in October as an RN . I will apply for a work permit whilst awaiting PR via the non express route after PNP nomination. The question no one seems to be able,to answer is how much (if any) cash money will we need to show as proof of funds at the border? I have my employer letters and pnp docs, but IRCC are so vague. I reckon if anyone knows you lot will! Thank you so much in advance.

Confused have you applied for PR? Gotten selected? If not what grounds do you have to enter Canada without being a genuine visitor? If your goal is to work when you arrive in Canada why have you not secure a job offer, had your employer apply for an LMIA and then apply for a WP from your home country? Have you gotten licensed to work in Canada and specifically in BC since licensing is done by province?

Apologies if my post was unclear. I already have PNP nomination and an RN job. I have applied for PR under the non express route due to age. As I’m from the UK I can apply for a bridging work permit at the border. My question was specifically about proof of funds as all references just say ‘proof of funds’ . I have my different letters etc submitted by my Canadian employer but just wondered if they would need anything else
