I am a QSW applicants, thus didn't really had any direct support from Qorax, but still this "BACLGROUND-Check" by Qorax was very helpful giving me a good understanding what VO is doing. Having obtained my PPR today, I'd like to thank Qorax and let his support to everyone be recognized!
Thanks Qorax!

1. It usually takes 6-odd months to get fresh PPR after spousal addition.
2. Post visa stamping -- such addition/s tend to be scrutinized tad severely.
3. Warsaw is pretty slow.

hi Qorax,

we received an email today from warsaw saying that they received my medicals (i am the added member- medicals were sent in end june 2012. we received another email in january 2013 saying that i am under bg checks) and since my husbands (main applicant) medicals were expired they asked for fresh medicals and fresh PCC (police certificate).

my question is.. does this mean BG is finished for me (the dependent?) and how much time do we expect PPR (taking in consideration my medicals will expire end of june)

thanks

Dear Qorax

Iam MI3 applicant from NDVO .My passport is with CHC since mid Aug '12 (6+months) I got the below reply from NDVO.

1.Does it mean my security & criminality is completed or still pending
2.Also from your past experience what is the maximum time one has received passport after it is ECU-RFV documents pending.

I had send one mail in end of NOV 12 .Got reply on 1st week feb'13

We acknowledge that our office has received your original passport(s) for this application.

Due to the high volume of correspondence received by this office, it generally takes several days following receipt to process passports and place them on file. The file is then directed to the attention of a processing team for a review to take place to ensure all requirements have been met for the application to move to the next steps in processing.

This file is currently pending review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as that review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants if any further documentation or information is required.

Please note that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. Rest assured that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant or authorized representative, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

U might never need the originals here unless u want them accredited or u go for higher education.

It seems so. And u should have ur fresh PPR within a month or two from his reMeds. However, u might be walking a tightrope, reg. ur landing... b'coz unless ur VO grants an extension (usually given for 2-months) to ur meds -- u might be looking at taking them again as well.

We can't sanguinely opine on that, as yet. Many 2011-ECU cases saw the light after about a yr... in 2012, while a minuscule few got it within 6 months, some went for reMeds and some r yet lingering. I hope (and pray) u make it soon.

hi delcan,

can u give your time line in details?

if you got medicals as soon as ur status changed to in process, then after receiving MR only, they will initiate further process including ur back ground and security checks...

I usually noticed a trend that, those who get MR very late after the status turned to "In process" gets visa in a short span...and the others gets visa very late...

anyway they will hold the process 7-14 months in between ur "in process & MR" or "MR & visa"

rgds,

ann

Dear Captain Master Qorax

Along with the Medical Request, the NYVS requested the RMCP background check.

My medicals were received in September 2012 and the RMCP only completed my background check on December 31 2012 and sent the results to the visa office.

Passports have not yet been requested.

No correspondence have been received since and my ecas haven't changed.

Does this indicate that there is something wrong? Should I be worried?

Thank you so much.
