Background check not started

I had called them 2 weeks back and was informed - eligibilty Met, criminality & security not started.

No. Just 1 PCC (India).
Countries of travel- Dubai, Spain & Canada
I also have a valid visitor visa of Canada.

Spouse- 1 PCC
countries of travel- UK, Dubai, US, Canada. None exceeding 6 months
Has work permit of Canada expiring 18th aug 2019. Can this be the reason of hold?

Child- valid visitor visa to Canada. Countries travelled Dubai & Canada

So wait for your eligiblity to be marked as passed, you might see your security take less time as it was already done during your temporary visa.

When I spoke to the agent she said there’ll be no more scrutiny of eligibility and that Met is as good as pass!
So which means it’ll take a long time again for eligibility to be termed as pass

So MET is when case processing agent marks it good, and at last the officer has to mark it Passed. which will not take much time once the officer picks your file
 
@Immigration_guru , So in your experience what would it mean in the GCMS Notes that application is with case analyst for review PR - Outland. GCKEY indicates background has not yet started. I was advised that the application first goes to case analyst for review and then senior officer makes the final determination based off the notes. What are your thoughts

Good...your Review of Eligibility message is :"We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements".........when Review of Eligibility is completed.......Background Check is next to complete.......before passport request.

Background check takes awhile to complete......sometimes may have started but not updated in your application status.

Will advice you be patient......you have reached the 12months and likely Background Check message may soon change to...

2.) Background Check: “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information.“

Will advice that you give IRCC 1week.......if nothing, them send an email to LVO.......try this LVO email....london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

I will provide you some history of my case. We received a PFL regarding our marriage validity, relationship genuineness and intent to return to Canada. We responded to PFL on February 22, 2019 and got called for interview 15 days after we submitted our response. We found out one day before the interview on April 3, 2019 about my wife's pregnancy and submitted the medical report at the interview. We have been living together since we got married first in UAE then in Pakistan. The person interviewing us only discussed about our relationship and did not mention anything about validity of marriage. After two days of interview they requested to submit PCC from UAE and provided us 45 days for submission. We submitted PCC on May 13, 2019. At that time we noticed that GCKEY showed that bgc was in progress. After 40 days of submitting PCC on June 17, 2019 we got a letter requesting my detailed employment history and detail about a visit to Nepal which was discussed during interview. It's been 45 days since I submitted my response and LVO is completely silent. I have not received any pre arrival mail either. What is your opinion regarding our case?

My review of eligibility status is We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements and Background Check status is We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

That's the initial part under R10. so he/she basically checks all the documents are received and after this your medical and Criminality (if 1 PCC) is cleared.
