Isn’t there going to be a conflict there that if they were not tech savvy/good in english, how did they complete online application themselves?

Has anyone else had a problem receiving a verification code when registering for the status tracker? I have been trying all day. It seems they have the correct email address, but I never actually received a code.

You can act as a representative for your parents' Canadian citizenship application by having them appoint you using the Use of a Representative form (IMM 5476). This form allows you to communicate with IRCC on their behalf. You must include the completed and signed form with their application to make it official (source : https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...ication/application-forms-guides/imm5476.html)
 
thanks for the reply, I did not get the tracker email, however I am able to login now. I see Background verification DONE and others are in progress. So I guess the process of Prohibitions, Physical Presence, Language skills will take 1-2 months. So waiting game from here on !

Ahhh been a while since I was last on this forum! It's giving flashback of 2023 when I did my PR and used this platform as a support group as there was a huge processing delay from IRCC back then. Hope the processing time is not too bad this time :)

Hi there, if you haven't resolved the issue yet, this might help you. I was checking an application for my wife not me, whom I sponsored back in 2021. At that time, she used a different email address when she applied for PR for the first time. Although we provided her new email address in the citizenship application and she received the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) at the new email address, she was still receiving verification codes at the old email address used for the PR application. So, if you have used a different email address before, or if you used an email address belonging to your representative, they will send the verification code to that old email address. I hope this helps.
