Unfortunately, flights from India are banned at the moment, so I dont think your application will be finilised at least until this decision is lifted as your dependent is there.

Hi all,

Finally back in Vancouver after a 4 month trip to India. Went in April for a work related trip, but then caught with Covid and was down for awhile and had to stay back. Finally made it back here yesterday via Mexico.

IRCC had sent me a letter for some explanation on May 1st and I had submitted the letter by 5th May. There were 3 or 4 ghost updates in the immediate week and then everything went quiet. I thought it might be because I was out of Canada and they were waiting for me to be inland before they approve it.

So I called IRCC today and they confirmed all assessments are passed (Some good news at least!) and are just waiting for the final decision. My file is with Vancouver office. Now that I am back, hopefully it will move :) or Not :(

Just wanted to update.

Similar situation, and I called IRCC to confirm they know I am here in Canada, but my file did not move since march when everything was passed.

Hi All,
My L1 Blanket USA visa was not approved in 2019. Under Statutory Questions below what shall I mention? Please advise.

Has xxx been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

Has xxx ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?

FYI:

I recently got a new set of GCMS notes (nothing had changed of course), but these were in the new format, which is a much slimmed down version of the old style notes. So instead of the usual 100+ pages, I received 12 pages of notes.

More on the new format here and here.

Now i go back to having zero expectations of IRCC regarding my application. Stay safe and keep well everybody.
I just got my GCMS notes with the new format as well. It's truly a lot easier to understand.
My security was completed on the same day that the officer approved my PR.
This is my updated timeline:

Thank you for sharing . This is very helpful.

My medicals expired on 12th August and got a gu update on 12th itself.

But I have not heard anything from them.
It is just random for them to process our applications.

HI all,

AOR: Aug 26, 2020
Medicals: Upfront (renewed for outland dependants in April 2021)

Jus now received a mail from IRCC (Information Letter!!) asking to submit passport and photo. They haven't confirmed anything on the status and the doc just says " The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, your permanent residence visa. "
Can I take it as my application is all approved. The online portal still shows the status as 'submitted'.

I was an inland applicant in CEC class and came to India on vacation in March and now stuck here with the travel ban. Dependants are here in India. Should I also just submit my passports here along with my dependents as its highly unlikely that the ban will be lifted soon?Do we know how long does it take to process the passport in Bangalore VAC?

Please let me know.
