Oh yay I am so happy. Your report is exactly like mine. My background check has been in progress for 4 weeks now. I find that a bit disappointing as I was seeing others get PR just a few days after background check was in progress. Really hoping to see something before Xmas. Eeeeeek. All the best, I look forward to your updates. In my signature I have a spreadsheet of all the ppl that applied in Aug. input your info so others can see your progress too! Cheers!

I wish i could link my application to myCIC, the only thing i have is ecas, and its so frustrating not being able to see more information. I'm on a very similar timeline to both of you. I too am hoping for some news before christmas, but i'm not holding my breath.

Wow, thank you so so so much!!! I did exactly as you did and it found my application. Weird seeing as the other info I put in was far more specific. According to this my background check is in progress but does not give a date and my review of eligibility is in progress but also does not give a date, but it does say my medicals have passed (whoo!) Thanks for the help Ill keep everything updated from this point, this one is so much better

Cool, congratulations! May I know your time line please? For sure August applicant, too, exact date please? Been waiting for my BC to turn into In Progress but no luck yet... Good luck and PPR and Visa for everyone!

Same here. My status still says "we need additional document". It's been over a week too.

My husband's says "provided" after he uploaded the additional documents that they requested.

In MyCIC there was a spot to upload the documents, then he had to electronically sign them and after submitting, it automatically changed to "provided"

Yes I was specifically asked by Manila VO to send them by email. I guess they haven't processed them yet.

I've tried every combination i can think of (well over 100), including the ones that have been succesful for other people, it just won't work. I'll have to just sit it out and wait.

Have you try selecting ' British Subject' as the passport's Country of Issue?

The status in my myCIC account never changed to provided - even though my wife provided the required document for both document requests, received her visa, and landed.

So i guess there's no need to worry even if it wouldn't change to "Provided"

I've just tried 5 different variations using 'british subject' in the passport section. still nothing.

Do you have a eTA? Try linking it in MyCIC, if you are successful, send an enquiry to the help desk. Perhaps they can tell you what is going on.

In our case, background check has been "In Progress" for 40+ days. I wonder, perhaps IRCC has filled all the 2016 quotas and they cannot issue any more approvals until the new year.

I was thinking the same thing! I am hoping there will be a flood of approvals in January.
