There are lots of May applicant got their PPR.
And that means approx. 4-5months processing time.
So let us expect late December or early January next year :)
Praying hard for that too!

Same here. I think it takes a month before getting AOR2. While others says they never received AOR2

Yay!! Finally received the SA email/letter today!!!
It feels like we've won the lottery or something ;D
And even better, our application got sent to Ottawa instead of Vienna. So hopefully we'll have a "speedy" decision.

I hope everyone else still waiting will get their SA today as well!
Oh great! COngratulations!:) Hoping to receive ours soon! ... and the rest of applicants here! :D :D :D

Just wondering, are all of us who are still waiting for their SA, and who are getting late responses, have by chance something "special" in our applications, not necessarily "red flags", but an extra thing or two that require(s) additional period(s) of time for CIC to check/clarify before according SA?

For example, in my case (by the way, I'm Canadian, sponsoring my wife):
  • I have children from previous relationships (and a divorce and a separation that involved [a long time ago] court battles about custody, child support, etc.)
  • I had a business and I filed bankruptcy - I've been discharged [also a long time ago].
  • I've been living outside Canada for over a decade now. Could that be a disadvantage? Maybe I wasn't convincing enough in my "Residency declaration" (intention to reside in Canada after the whole process is finished) even if I declared my family ties in Canada (including children), work experience, etc.

Maybe I'm becoming a paranoiac of some weird kind. But just for the sake of discussion / sharing / argumentation if you have few minutes to spare... :D

Hi, do you know how to create an account in MyCIC?
Yes, start by creating an online account (by clicking on "Continue to GCKey") here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/link.asp

Then try as a second step to link your paper application to your online account.

On MYCIC, "A background check is needed" is changed from "not started" to "in progress". Does anyone else have the same update?

Wow! Your background check is in progress right now! Really?! That was fast! You're about to have your PPR. By the way, where was your application forwarded?

I also have yet to receive my SA letter BUT I know I was approved since I called and they told me over the phone. Also, it states decision made on the sponsor side of ECAS and on the principal applicant side has a date that they started processing the application.

As the sponsor, I myself don't have any red flags but my husband (the PA) has some red flags on his application. So I don't know if that makes a difference.
