I'm new to the forum and here is my timeline.
Family class sponsorship: Outland
Married couple since 2013
Applicant: British citizen Husband ( based in London)
Sponsor: Canadian citizen (Montreal)
App. Received: 15/08/2016 (sent by my lawyer)
Sponsor approval: 25/09/2016
LVO received: 05/10/2016
Request new 2 passport pictures 06/10/2016
Apply for CSQ: 28/11/2016
Received CSQ: 25/01/2017
Med upfront: 25/06/2016

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D 8) : ;D I went to my local MP yesterday for an inquiry on the app and I received PPR for my wife today already!! .!!!! What a coincidence lol

So stoked about the whole final stage now! Hoping everyone gets a prompt response!!!

Congrats on your PPR! We applied on the same day, I still have heard nothing. Our visa offfice is so slow. What is your visa office's average processing time?

I am very happy to say that my wife has finally received her PPR, she got her email on May 4. Woohooo! Finally.

And now we have COPR - almost home now. Everybody else is gone already.

Still waiting. It's ridiculous how long our visa office takes for a straightforward case such as my husbands and mine. I swear I will actually be the last one standing in this August group. Happy for everyone though. Happy your visa offices actually work through applications at an acceptable rate.

We are still waiting too for the PPR or atleast the acceptance. No response from the CIC we tried to contact them since February till now no one responded to our emails from the VO.

My wife landed in Canada last week and everything went well. She entered Canada now because her PR visa was expiring soon. We're living together outside of Canada. We were only in Canada for 3 days and now we're back to Libya because we're not ready to settle in Canada yet.

The immigration officer told us that my wife would need to spend 2 years of the next 5 years in Canada, BUT, since we're living TOGETHER in Libya now, the rule doesn't quite apply to us... I'm not quite sure what she meant. Has anyone heard about this? What's the minimum that she would need to be in Canada in our case?

What she mean she could lose her PR card if stay outside longer then 2 years in 5 years this apply to any immigrant as if live all Outland so she is not immigrant and will affect too the citizenship process in future hope this answer helps you

If you are a permanent resident and your spouse is Canadian and you reside in another country with your spouse, your days outside Canada can be counted as residency days.

Iam application Aug17- 2016 still waiting. In Gckey last month my représentative checked it was showing background check is in proccess.
I dont know what's going on with my application status. I have orderd GCMS notes on 14 jun but i didnt recieve it yet. Because two times in between they e-mailed back and for corrections of the consent farm. After that still waiting didnt recieve my notes yet
