Like alexdive, my E-cas has been activated recently (I've just found out now). It's in-process. Here's what I see:

FYI, I'm a single applicant and got my AOR via email (same like when I received my AOR and PPR via email during my PR application). I haven't received anything in regular mail yet.

It is good to see that CIC was able to fix the compatibility issue of new numbering pattern with e-cas giving big relief to AOR email recipients who were searching in dark until now.
I really wish now they will be able to sort out the mess up created during last couple of years by dragging the citizenship process unnecessarily into a never ending loop and nightmare for many. Recent trend shows that they are working on it too. Thanks to CIC for this...

Just got off the phone with cic today.
the agent was extremely rude. She said my application is properly lost when it got send back.
so I asked how is that? Wouldn't they update the system? My new address at least?
So if ut got send back how do I know what was wrong? How can I know it s not happening again.
are there any reasons why y cannot find it?
I told her about my specific case inquiry and why nothing had been found. Any possible answers?
She just said I don't know but super rude.
I took her name and number so I can complain about it. Seriously so annoyed!!!
I will write the complaint today. I also did send an email to question@cic.ca as mentioned in an earlier post.
so January I will send a new application with urgent on it.
fck so annoyed!!!

So question I have: anyone knows if they update the system even when they send back the application.
I have read somewhere that they do so.

Hi Applicants,

I have got invitation for test yesterday as well! January 6 in Scarborough. It is great surprise as well. So sweetdreama see you during the test.
Btw, I have received my invitation at home address, instead of my mailing address.
And my home address was incorrect (street number wrong) Thanks to CanadaPost they figure out this and didn't return mail.

I am not sure exactly now but during the pilot of this new processing model they didn't make/update GCMS record, only created a letter saying what is missing and mailed it back. I guess it is the same. That is how they are keeping the inventory low; one of the measure taken to improve the efficiency of the citizenship program.

Congrats on all the updates! I suspect that some more July and August applicants can expect to receive invites to appear to write the test between January- February,
While applicants like myself who applied towards the end of August and early September can expect to appear by the earliest February -March (just a hunch)
now CIC is welcomed to surprise us and invite us sooner.

I hope so too.... They received mine August 28th, they finally uploaded on ecas Friday the 12th, 2014. AOR sent Dec 05, 2014 hoping that received line will disappears soon!

Got my email AOR on Nov 6.
Ecas was activated this weekend too but it says "received" only. It says a letter was sent by mail and to wait for delivery in case of delays in mail system. It's been a month but I haven't gotten anything yet.

So I guess that's it for now.

Never mind the "by mail" thing. I got AOR by email but it still says "by mail...". Did you get your AOR by email too? Then, I dont thing we're gonna receive any mail

Well you don't need the book. So, I don't think those who got email AORs will be getting them by mail. I may be wrong though. Anyways, let's wait it out and see.

Yea, That will be good to know specially if there are issues with mail / address, at least you know there is a test.

It might be returned because of missing documents or might still working on it. I don't really now what to do. But I've seen many people that have gotten AOR after 5 to 7 months of sending application.

Welcome to this August thread.
Did you ask the agent to check with your receipt no.?
There may be few more applicants waiting AOR but most are In Process and some already on test schedules. See the timeline spreadsheet (link below).
If you haven't done yet, send a case specific/email query.

Yes Zebel,

Donvalley they had to ask for my receipt and Canada post # to find my application. The agent sent off a request with my info to Sydney and they were able to locate my application in days. So call them and tell them your giving them yur receipt and tracking number weather Canada post etc and the'll find it. Your application was not returned it would have returned within a month so that they talking crap. Do not send another app. They sent me AOR Dec 05 by mail and I received it today.
