August 2014 Citizenship Applications

Like alexdive, my E-cas has been activated recently (I've just found out now). It's in-process. Here's what I see:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 14, 2014.

2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 6, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3. We started processing your application on December 4, 2014.

FYI, I'm a single applicant and got my AOR via email (same like when I received my AOR and PPR via email during my PR application). I haven't received anything in regular mail yet.

Yeah, my ECAS is activated this morning, I guess all other Aug applicants will get it activated too. However, my status is "received", so I guess my application is still lying somewhere not being processed yet. Anyway, as long as I can track it, I feel it better.

I have got invitation for test yesterday as well! January 6 in Scarborough. It is great surprise as well. So sweetdreama see you during the test.
Btw, I have received my invitation at home address, instead of my mailing address.
And my home address was incorrect (street number wrong) Thanks to CanadaPost they figure out this and didn't return mail.

Yours is received almost a month earlier than mine so if yours shows received, ours are probably all "received" as well.

I tried to check mine but no luck. By the way how are people checking their status online using the Client ID or Fee receipt no. ? I checked with my Client ID and the system shows my old status of PR renewal complete last year.

I guess it will take some time to get lucky and see the status. I would hope it shows in process.

I logged in using my Client ID (XXXX-XXXX) with the hyphen. After I received my AOR in email; I only checked my e-cas only once/twice a week.

So I guess it is still not updated for me. I am not alone so I should not be worrying much. Now that things have finally started moving for August applicants I hope we will have to check E-case more often.

ECAS active today with "RECEIVED" status only. Application was received on Aug. 7th and Email AOR on Oct. 10th.
Everyone please note that ECAS is sometimes updated late, even after applicants receive test notification by mail. July/Aug applicants should expect test notification in DEC/JAN. Again ECAS may not display in real time but email could be received in real time to appear for test(may have to print that email & bring on test date). Just being optimistic!
