I plan to apply through CEC in about next month. My post-graduate work permit is valis till Dec 2014; i.e, about 10 months after I apply. Can I choose CPP-O as my visa office? ... Thanks!

You also become eligible for an open work permit, based on your PR application, 4 months before your current work permit

Thanks! I just went and visited your website. That is a good news for me; I was too stressed about my PGWP being expired by the end of this year. I think I am going to need your help (if you don't mind) in order to get my CEC application coasted successfully. I already have a rejected PhD stream application after 19+ months of wait.... Applicants from first week of May have started to receive MRs.

May be in March !!! if I see number of application received in May June and July are very less compare to August, may be because CIC Employees were on strike.

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following document:

Ø Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints.
Please consult http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm for detailed instructions.
should i submit another pcc from back home or what ?..... confused

Hey this is a Canadian police clearance. Its done by the RCMP. Just follow the link and instructions. CIC normally request RCMP criminal record check when your name matches that of someone with a "record." So they just need to clear you based on your finger prints. You will be fine, just get it done and submit asap!!

Hi I am also August applicant & I got same email from immigration Canada for RCMP, but I already submitted RCMP clearance certificate with my application so what should I do ?
Do I need to email them like I already submitted with my application
because there is A big Note

Guys, I got same email to request the RCMP, but check with you guys if there is an attachment in that email? There is a attachment sign in that email but I did not see any attachments, just confirm with you guys if this is the same to all of us.
