No you don't need to respond if there is no changes, also PPR ask you to inform if there is any changes again

Hi Sheena

Thanks

Yes I went to rainbow bridge and told them that I just need to make a U turn for landing, even though I have a US visa and a valid i-94 they just give out the standard Admin refusal letter for entry into states which states that you are not being allowed to enter only because you need to renter canada for immigration requirements and let me take a U turn by opening a gate, all this happened in like 10 mins as I went around 10 last nite. I do not think so this affects any thing for the future as this is a standard procedure and the US border officers are well aware of it. Even when asked in the future this is a very valid reason and there are no harms with it

If you have a US visa though you can just go across stay there for a couple of hours and then re enter, if not above is a valid option too. I could have easily gone across and come back later but I just wanted to get it done with asap. :))))

Just don't worry and get it done :))

All the best.

Hi Boateng,

Since you had an US visa and a valid i-94, did you ask them if they could just stamp your passport rather than giving out a refusal form? I would have understood giving the refusal form if you didn't have a valid i-94 and it would take time to get one. But, that was not your case since you already had it.

Thanks.

Hi pavaneee,

I did my medicals on March 18th with the results being sent out on April 2. I don't have any updates on ECAS either :(

A lot of applicants from September even started getting their PPR.

I did respond to confirm that there were no changes to my family composition. We don't know whether this makes any difference to the processing time. You are certainly not required to give any update unless there is a change.

The theory was that that the 'Request for RPRF and updates' gives you 30 days to respond, and if they are going to wait 30 days for news, it's best to give it to them sooner. Some people (e.g. crediblesam) managed to land only a couple of weeks after that request.

Hi Readhp,

yeah that making me worried.......apart from GCMS notes...is there any other way to find the status...because I had received my medicals on 20th March(its more than a month now) and RPRF on 31st march(going to complete a month)....and no change in my status

I am not aware of anything else apart from GCMS notes where you can find out about the status, but it takes about a month to get the notes.

I got my med request on March 11 and my RPRF request on March 17.

I requested my GCMS notes. Will be very happy if I get my PPR before the 30 days processing time for the notes.

Same here, requested notes on Friday, but hoping to get the 'Decision Made' before my notes arrive ;)

Hi,

Got "Ready for Visa Letter email (PPR Request)" on Thursday. ECAS changed to Decision Made today.

But I have to travel outside of Canada so will send my passport on May 18 that is exactly a month. I have asked couple of lawyers and they said its OK because you get 60 days time to submit it.

Hope & Pray I am taking a right step. I am really worried.

Anybody been through the same situation??

Hi Toby,

When you applied for your GCMS notes, did you select the "Privacy Act" or the "Access to information act". The first one was free and the second one was $5. I selected the Privacy act.

Thanks.

Hey guys,

i did my medicals on March 22nd and received no call from the doctor (which is a good sign). Therefore I assume my medical results have been uploaded and sent to CIC.
No updates yet, not even a receive status in ECAS.
As other people have the same problems I assume they are just a bit slow at the moment :(
