Hi miss Dominica,

You're very positive, which is good because the past week or 2 I've been feeling really down and It's really not a good feeling at all. I feel like crying almost everyday at least once. I hope things start looking up soon and I'm going to really try to put a positive spin on everything so I start feeling better.

Anyway miss Dominica, I think u were just a little tired because I think the column u were talking about was titled " # of days FOR sponsorship" and not days since sponsorship. I wish I could "like" your post because it really will be so nice when more in august gets to that pink/purple colour!

Hey tink! I was not feeling so positive a week ago either. It just seemed like there was never any news and that I would be alone forever waiting for this whole thing. But on the POS page (where my application was sent), there have been a lot of people getting called for interviews or getting stage 2 AOR's and the most recent applicant in teh group before ME, just got his AOR. So I was thinking.. HEY, Im next! I mean, logistically, I'm NOT. There could be hundreds of people NOT on this site that applied between that guy and me. But the point is, as far as our group is concerned, I should be next to hear. And even though I havent heard a thing... the fact that people a couple months in front of me are getting AOR's and stuff, I can see a flicker of a light, albeit a dim one, at the end of this waiting game. Like eventually, I WILL be one of those people getting AOR and someone who applied AFTER me will be using my timeline for hope (like I am using others' that applied before me for hope). That's what is keeping me going.. watching other people ahead of me get news and thinking, that is one less person in front of me before MY news comes. It's certainly not easy, but I feel more antsy about an update now waiting and watching. It's better than the hopelessness and depression I was feeling a couple weeks ago. Such a hard process!!

And thank u for correcting my sleepy error. I even KNEW as I was looking at it that I must be reading it wrong because I've been looking at the spreadsheets for months and never noticed an error before... but it was the middle of the night and my brain just could not read properly I guess! lol Oh my.

I THINK MY HUSBAND WAS JUST APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!

I literally just received an email 10 minutes ago and it says "In order to continue processing your application we require your passport within 30 days." and my visa office doesn't request them early and hold them so I think he's approved!

I hope so! I've been talking with a bunch of people going through the Dominican Republic visa office and this is how they do it!! I can't believe it! 3 months 3 days total with CIC!

Yayy! I just got my visitor status restoration thingy in the mail =D It expires in January though so its time to send in another app for an extension which will hopefully be approved as well.

Congrats tink! That is very exciting news =)

Thanks! Congrats also, Shylox!

Louie Ann, can u please update the spreadsheet for PPR. My husband received the request today by email (via me) November 26th!

Congratulations tink & shylox.
Great news for you both.

Thank you!

No, it's still showing Application Received. I'll be checking it over the next few days... usually it seemed that Ecas was about 4 or 5 days behind any email I got from CIC or the embassy, so hopefully by the end of this week it will have changed to in process or decision made.

This still feels so unreal! It has been 3 months and 3 days since Mississauga received my application! It has only been exactly 1 month since I got AOR from my visa office. This type of speed is almost unheard of at my visa office! A fast case was the 5-6 month range. So crazy! We won't know 100% until my husband goes to the embassy with his passport (I hope tomorrow morning) but I can't imagine what else this could be since they only asked for the passport and no further documents, etc... Please keep your fingers crossed for us and I'll keep everyone here in my prayers as well!

And here I was trying to give you a motivational speech because you said you were feeling down and I was so positive. And look at you going and blowing everyone else out of the water. You go girl! Congrats! Insanely jealous.

Thank you! This has totally gotten rid of my down, depressed feeling! I'm hoping my husband brings his passport to the embassy tomorrow on Wednesday, then at 3 pm (which is when Santo Domingo always has people come back to pick up their passports) we should know 100% that it is in fact that they are issuing the PR visa!

I hope everyone else here in August is soon to follow!

Just looked at the April and May spreadsheets and things look to be moving. At least that is my take on things. Tis the season to be positive :D
