Why didn't you guys apply under non-SDS? It seems SDS doesn't deliver what it promises anymore.
For some people applying under the SDS is better because it doesn't require applicants to show proof of income. Plus, although we know that now, it wasn't until mid-September that it was clear there was something very wrong going on with SDS processing times. There was no way August and most September applicants could've known this would happen.

Looks like IRCC updated a bunch of medical & eligibility statuses on recent applications yesterday. Not that it means anything... I was included in that batch of updates (early-October applicant), but I know that some September applicants (and I guess August ones as well) still haven't received any post-submission updates.

Meanwhile, non-SDS approvals have been popping everyday (the Consulate General of São Paulo has been finalizing many September applications).

It's about time IRCC gave us some realistic SDS processing times to work with :(
Did the applications in early October start to review with the application number starting with S400?

Don't know about Brazilian applicants but most Indian SDS applicants upload proof of their (or their parents') income.

Yeah, I guess if you are going to show proof of income anyway the only advantage offered by the SDS is faster processing time (which currently isn't a thing).

But the stream does make study permits more accessible, because not everyone has family on which they can rely on, and having a good combination of your own funds & income in a developing country is quite challenging for Canadian standards (after all, most of us are pursuing a better life and want to stay in Canada, even though we're technically not allowed use that as justification for a study permit application).

Sorry Guys its bit off topic..
@tiandstories @yesWeCanada @cheemak

I hope you remember that we casually discussed about other options like Ireland, UK etc.

I had applied for DBS, Ireland 2-3 weeks ago and got accepted in Msc in Business Analytics today and got my offer of acceptance. They have also provided me a scholarship around 1000 Euros.
So is there anyone you know who can assist me regarding Ireland? Or any forum?
It would be very helpful.

Actually that have asked me to deposit 500 euros in next 15 days so that my admission will be confirmed along with scholarship.
Thanks in advance.
