Hi my question is regarding the viva la casa refugee asylum process, more specifically my question is that since i am a permanent resident of canada, can i receive my sister at the border when she crosses over to canada or do i have to be a citizen for that?
I know it might be a silly question but i would like anyone to answer that who knows for sure, thanks

Yes you Can. As long as she have the proofs that you are her Sibling. And if she claim asylum in the border CBSA will take a detailed interview for 3-4 hours to make sure she is eligible for asylum.

Remember is she fail to provide enough evidence about your relationship or about the asylum, she will be sent back to USA and US customs will detain her.
