It could vary between locations but mine was by email, from the same email address as the test/interview invitation.

Yesterday me and my wife had Citizenship Test as well as the interview accordingly.
Then, I noticed ECAS status changed to DM on both of us, but my kid's status is still 'In Process', is this normal?

If yes, like all other applicants we also just need to wait until we get "Oath Invitation"?
If not, what should I do to make it right? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Yes, completely normal. Children stay "In Process" until the end. All you do now is wait for the oath. I know its hard to have patience when you have no idea how long the oath will be, but at least you can breath a sigh of relief that you application is done and is sitting in the queue for the oath.

Hi forum,

This is my latest ecas status:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 11, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 30, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on July 16, 2018.
4. We sent you correspondence on September 25, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

The request for item 4 is fingerprints which were provided 3 days later on Sept 28th. It is 2019 already and my status is still not updated, what should I do? much appreciated for your help!

My wife got an FP request. You don't get any kind of notification to say they received them so I sent a webform to them just to confirm they got them. They replied within a few hours to say they were received and were good.

After that it's just wait for the test invitation.

I've also noticed that there is no activity in the Kitchener/Waterloo area. Bit frustrating as I've seen apps been handed in after my IP date of 27 July 2018 and take the oath already? Could anyone shed some light on this by any chance?

on the same boat ( Kitchener office) they are just too slow. I see one applicant got Test invite Jan 24, 19, and her/his IP is in March 2018 !!!

I got my GCMS today which I ordered on the 11th of December...

They mentioned on decision part : In accordance with the citizenship act and regulations and based on the information provided
Canadian Citizenship is granted and signed by the minister's delegate.

And then it was transfered to Ceremony since the 15th of November... It's been 2 months why I still didn't receive the invitation for the oath yet.

I think we have nothing to do but waiting...

You can order them through an ATIP request. It takes about 30 days to get them.
