Thanks! Got a perfect score! I studied my ass off. That website you recommended for the practice tests was really handy! Thanks for that tip! Not only did it help me retain facts, but it made me used to the test format so I was comfortable taking the actual test. I also found sample tests in the library (online off the library website) which was very useful.

I can also finally rest easy... had my oath ceremony today and now I am officially a citizen! Much more relaxing day.

Thanks to everyone for all the support and good luck to you all!
Hearty congratulations

Suin recommended this site:
http://www.citizenshipsupport.ca/
And it was very good.

I also took tests on other various sites, the links I found searching this forum. One link is:

I got a test notice letter today (Mississauga office).
and I see an update on e-CAS:
"We sent you a notice on November 20, 2013 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 9, 2013 ... The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us."

They messed up my test time... Letter says "PM" but actual test was at 7"AM".
I got a call from office around noon. They apologized and proposed mid Jan 2014 date... :(

So guys I recommend to confirm your test date/time before the test day.

Thank you :) I will be the one who will be having the test - kids are too young (lucky!) :)
Suin, as you have kids, I guess you might have sent the school records... as many people are getting their application returned due to school records, I would appreciate your guidance regarding the documents that are to be sent.

Did u just send a school letter saying they attended the school for such period or did u send attendance profile too? My kids were below 1st grade till this year so all I can send is the letter from their school. When I asked for attendance profile from their old school which they went 2 years back they said they don't have access to it now :(

Vlas1k hard luck bud. It's good that they rescheduled.
Just as a rule of thumb, all businesses close at 5pm or before (there are exceptions), including government offices.
I know this happened to me long time ago regarding something else though and I right away knew that something was wrong. hehe.
anyhow, it's good the CIC was understandable.

We sent the copies of all the report cards and registration papers for both kids plus the letters from their school confirming period they started attending the school upto present time.

Suin congratulations, so happy for you! I'm back on the forum after few weeks

Question for you. Have you ever left the country the past 4 years? I see more and more applicants getting their app processed and test scheduled after 6 months and they all have never left the country before applying.

A friend of mine got his oath after 6 month. he never left canada since he became PR

Thanks

I had maybe 50 or more trips out of the country and I had a pretty fast timeline. I don't think it is necessarily the absences but the circumstances. I did have a long interview as the interviewer asked various questions about my travels and looked at all my stamps in the passport but otherwise it was fine.

What are you talking about, citizenship or immigration visa?

Thank you, erafdje,
I left Canada just twice.
