Congrats...applicants in the Prairies/ BC and Atlantic Canada are getting a raw deal from CIC as this local offices grind to a halt while ON pick up the pace....its almost as if they are dealing with a different CIC??

Thank you! I honestly cannot understand why the CIC in different regions process the applications differently. I've noticed that Mississauga is trying to work on applications filed 2009 - 2013 simultaneously.

Finally got my ecas updated today. It has taken 6 days for the system to be updated. :)

Folks,

I forgot to write N/A in my application and left the cells blank. do you think my application will be returned? has anyone experienced this before?

@Suin

I was under the impression that ecas is updated before you get the letter in mail but seems it is the opposite

Good Luck

yes, I was sure of that too and I was really surprised to see ecas updated so late. And today according to the agent - all the system has been down all day - the call centre agents couldn't get in to it at all.

When did you send it? There are definitely two options here - they can let you go with it or return the complete package back. Everything depends on the officers decision now.

Shouldn't be a big deal. Out of my personal experience, I can say that CIC does send out communications asking for answers to be clarified when in doubt. Unless your application has other RQ triggers, this itself will not trigger an RQ. But I also am not saying even with perceived RQ triggers an application is sure to get an RQ. So wait for CIC to contact you in case of doubt (doubts are not RQ, yet they are communications generally faster and still put your application on Routine category)
