Hi All,

I received my AOR on 11th June. My e-CAS still shows application received. I was wondering how long does it take for status to change from "Application Received" to "In-Process"?

If you are lucky, it might happen within 1 month. If not, it could be anywhere between 6 to 8 months.
No historical pattern, no trend analysis, no brainy calculations, no logic works to predict the functioning of CIC.

Thanks Andy. So it really doesn't matter to check your status there. What I should be checking is my mail box to get the MR next, correct me if wrong?

You can very well keep a check on the status on ECAS. Generally, your will received MR after the status turns to 'In process' on ECAS. But there could be exceptions. The way applications are being processed at CIC is baseless and senseless. And you cannot do anything about it.
The only thing I would suggest, be optimistic and be patient.
Patience is the key

I was wondering that you got the rejection email from Sydney or Ottawa? If you got it from Ottawa then why did not Sydney verify this basic requirement fufillment and sent you AOR? If you got it from Sydney, then it means they are processing some files at their destination. Please clarify so that we can get better look on this issue. Thanks

Hi Guys,
Bad news for me.. My Application is rejected today as my English Test Score is not as per required. It says...

Your CELPIP test results indicate you scored 3H for Writing. Therefore, your language test results do not meet the required language proficiency for skill level 0.

Can I re-appear and submit the new score for same application or I have to re-apply with new application? Also if it is rejected from VISA office , Do I need to pay the fee again?

My question is I haven't been charged (credit card) when does that suppose to happen???? isn't that too long? I have no way to track mi case other than the charge on my CC.

Just let you guys know that my application was received on May 1st (I filed on April 28th). I just received AOR tonight by 10:29PM.

Still didn't get my AOR and no update from CIC Sydney office for my email. It is the 9th week since I submitted my application on 19th April. Guys suggest what should I do? Impatience is growing day by day.

Hi , I got the email from Centralize INTAKE office Sydney. I got this letter after my application started processing. Current status on my applicaiton is Decision Made. So I assume that in initial verification they just check if the all required documents are in place. If documents are present, they forward to CIO for processing . CIo will verify the validity and decide .

Please advise.

If you got rejection email from Sydney(CIO), then your file did not go to Ottawa i think. They started your eligibilty and gave you the result. Please correct me if i am wrong. Thanks

So does this mean, the application will be processed in Ottawa and not in the VO we selected in the application?
