Applications filed through NS --> Buffalo (Filed from USA)

Got my visa stamped in Buffalo. Crossed over to Canada via Niagara. Refused entry! I went alone and was asked to re-enter with the whole family. I'll try again around Memorial Day.

I had the COPRs for my whole family which I picked up from the Buffalo VO. At the border they asked how long I was going to stay. Told them I was there for 'landing' and intend to go back to US for a few months. I presented the bank draft as POF. But they insisted that I come back with my whole family. I thought I didn't have any basis for arguing.
This forum has been very helpful.
What are the chances they'll stop me again?

My brother was studing in Canada. he completed his MS from there. He filed from canda and he got the Second AOR on 8 feb 2010, but still there is not any othere contact from VO ( buffalo ) so can any one tell me wat date is currently running which are getting the medical and visas?

Wen i emailed them to inquire abt my application , full docs sent on may 2010,
I got following reply .......

Your application is in queue awaiting initial assesement...It could take up to 64 weeks from doucments recieved

One of my friend who filed application in aug 2010 to CIO...got PP request last week

As far as i know if ur family member s included in ur application ,so first time wen u landing u must accompany with ur family member......if u do that they wont stop u.......

I joined this forum very late but it did helped me to learn.

I got my Passport back with Visa Stamped from buffalo office.

Here are some Tips I got from the Forum

I renewed passports to get visa till my medical date (Maximum).
I submitted only the new passport not old one.
I submitted return envelope without address and updated later with a request letter (My learning experince).

I wish everyone to go through this immigration process successfully.

I would say 0% they'll stop you and your family next time. Take it easy and accompany your family as soon as possible finishing landing procedures...
