I'm so happy for all who have already received visa, landed, or received PPR! Congratulations! Let me update mine here. Ottawa confirmed with me yesterday that my medical result was entered at their system for my local VO "making a further decision." Seniors, please advise from now on how many days I have to wait for the PPR. Thank you!!!

Well, i havent posted on this forum for sometime, but wanted to update my case, i applied in buffalo last september, i have now got my PPR on 24th August.

I have sent my passports to fort erie for stamping.

I got my second AOR from Buffalo on 5th May and after that there is no change in my status. It is still showing received by visa office". So, should I send them case specific inquiry or wait? ??? ??? ???

Yes, that is correct. I made it for USD 490. The amount is the same, there is no exchange rate conversion involved.

@Garian4u: I was requested to pay RPRF for $490 (I will buy a draft in USD just like you). This cheque must be payable to "The Receiver General for Canada". Is that correct??

Yes you are right on that point,,i do have to pay them an installment on medicals request...so ofcourse they would be on it,
But iam just scared that they might get busy and god forbidden miss the email,so just want to act as a backup,because even after filling it through
an attorney,i'v been tracking every movement on my case,i'v been double checking every time by calling cic...so that's why..

You've overdone it. The attorneys should do their jobs, and they don't want to get any bad review. They'll inform Med Reg to you soon!!

Thanks a lot garian..sorry i missed ur msg ....I hope so too that it gets resolved soon & deperately waiting for the medicals..because every step in my case has been really long..
it has taken a whole lot of time for every move compared to other people.but allz well at the end if it gets done properly..

Iam not sure about detroit,because havn't been able to track much cases from detroit yet on the forum...

So wat about you ,,did u get the ppr yet ??

even I got my 2nd AOR on 1st May still it is received by Visa Office...and I sent an email and I got the same reply..frokm Buffalo..:|

Thanks canadadream, buffalo did not transfer my file, they processed there itself.

here is my timelines.

applied to CIO- July 1,2009
CIO confirmation - Aug 24,2009
Sent docs to buffalo - Sept 9.
AOR from buffalo - Sept 16.

medical request - June 03,2010
Medicals done - June 24
Medicals sent by doc - July 16
Passport request - aug 25.
Passport sent - aug 26.

Awiating visa now

It is so nice to see old folks in this forum. And its nice to hear those OLD folks have started getting a good result. We are almost have same timeline, hope your passport is coming back in 1 week time.

I am just wondering where is Professional1? He should have gotten his PPR or PR status. Hope everybody in JUNE, JULY and AUGUST of 2009 (buffalo) already got their PPR! thanks!

Hello guys!
I just want to update you regarding my application. So happy that we finally received our medical request yesterday! Woooohoooo!

The letter was dated 25Aug2010 and received it yesterday in the post. Now, the things left to do for us are:
(1) Pay RPRF.
(2) Schedule our medicals

I have a few questions though:
(1) Where did you send your RPRF?
(2) Is anyone here from Chicago? I searched the forum and saw that there were several complaints with Dr. Chmiel. Does anyone here have experience with Dr. Veramendi (the other DMP in Chicago)?
(3) Can I go to a DMP outside my home state? I usually fly to Boston, MA so depending on my schedule, we can go to Boston for our medicals if that would be faster. Can anyone refer a DMP in Boston/Cambridge Area?
