jits1000, Congrats ;D ;D Don't worry about e-cas, once your passport is stamped, it will change directly to "Decision made". By the way, when were your medicals actually received by Ottawa, or when was your medical date actually? Just curious, as I am in the waiting queue for PPR.

Hi Seniors,
I have a quick question. My medical result got Ottawa on the 9th. How long should I wait until I can send an inquiry to my local VO about the PPR? I hired a lawyer to help me file the application. Then my another question is that if I'm eligible to contact the local VO? Thank you!

smallduck, what type of letter did you get? Did it havew some sort of a checklist indicating the different type of things that they may ask of you. I got that type of letter in Buffalo. It said medical instructions are in a separate letter and then of the checklist, there was a cross against RPRF. Against that check-mark, it said who the RPRF should be made payable to. Maybe, regarding NY consulate Pasi would be able to help you.
I received the letter from NY consulate instead of Buffalo. Additional document must be submitted through NY consulate and I think that they will make decision by themselves without contacting Buffalo. There isn't any kind of check list similar to what Buffalo ask for documents few months ago. I think that I just do exactly what they said in the letter, no more question asked ;).

I don't know man, It's really up to you. Eventually you will need the PR status, if you choose the Federal to back up your case, send out additional documents. If you're confident with the province nominee, drop out the other one. Anyway, I waived my English so I don't know how hard it is. It could be a pain in the ass for somebody, but it could be easy to get.

Hi nmat,
my case is same to your case. dates are also quite close to each other. Ottawa received medical request on 7-Jul but they had requested FBI certifcate which was delivered to them on 08-Aug-10. On 10-Aug the status changed to "Medical results have been received."

Since then no updates. Not sure when I will get the PPR.

Hi WaitingForPR,

May I ask if this is your 2nd FBI clearance? I got mine in 07/2009 when I submitted the application to Sydney, NS. I'm wondering if they will ask me get another one to update my status in the past year. Thanks!

Yes loveucanada, this was 2nd FBI. This 1st one was a year old. If your FBI certificate is already a year old then they will ask for it. May be you can apply for it in advance as FBI takes more than 8 weeks to send the certificate.

Hi,

Will they ask FBI report only for 2nd time or PCC from state as well?Any idea?

Thanks

Hi All,

I found from cic website that the Buffalo office closes down 30% of applications in 6 months and 50% of applications in 12 months. Where as other nation's offices are able to close down 50% of the applications in about 6-8 months.

Why is it that the system at Buffalo is so slow????? And do you think that the recent changes for FSW category will reduce the number of applicants and bring some efficiency in their process?????

~Thanks,
desi_cfa

In my case they asked only for FBI certificate and no other PCC.

I was requested FBI only. There is no PCC from state (for FSW1) as far as I know
