If this is the letter you plan to send to CIC, could you also do us favour by including the question regarding why the post 26th June applicants also receiving complete application requests with all the documents from their respective visa offices

As you can see from the date at the top of the quote, it was actually sent some time ago. We got the first PER 18 days later!

This is a general question to all those who have received their PER sometime back and its been quite a few days ever since... "Does anyone plan to send a query to their respective visa offices regarding the status of their case?"

Please reply so that we who have got a weird reply from our VO have some clarity whether we r the exceptions or part of the rule.

My visa office is Damascus and my lawyer said from news they got right now Damascus is checking files got thier 1st file number from Sydney before March 2009....

I think "HE" said they r checking the files received before March 09 that would be pre 26th June 2010

Yes I've done so just now and used the required web form on our VO's website and got this automated reply:
"Your enquiry has been sent to the visa office processing your application. You should receive a reply within 28 working days (by email, regular mail or fax). If your application is within normal processing times you may not receive a reply from the visa office. If your message contains new information for your application (e.g. adding a newborn or change of address) your file will be updated but the visa office may not respond to your email. Now let's hold thumbs that they will actually let me know what's cooking!
