Well my main experience is with Microsoft language - originally Visual Basic and for the past 6 years or so C#, both for the .Net framework, and SQL Server databases.

But this new role will be mostly Delphi and DB2.

Hi Rod and Buffalo applicants,

I would like to share with you guys the following information from Buffalo that we have received via email recently:
"CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet,
but do not exceed the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last
fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the
immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the review of
applications throughout the year."

So it further proves the theory that the visa office chooses to complete selected batches of applications to meet the visa quotas per year. Hope all of us , applicants in Buffalo and other offices will receive good news when the time comes.

Best wishes,
saratracy

mahek,

Honestly I'm just trying to avoid depression. Like you I am separated from my spouse and it's been almost 3 years now... It's tough and every day that passes it gets harder. I just want to keep some hopes that the Buffalo will be unleashed soon.

are you FSW1 or FSW2? When did you get PER?

Thanks,
Rod

thanks for the info sara.

So, the way I see it Buffalo staggers the most? Other VO's have no backlogs to stagger? Is Buffalo the only staggerer out there? CIC manages arrivals in Canada through Buffalo and Buffalo only? Aren't they suppose to manage all visa offices and assign each of those offices quotas based on apps received ?

Alex.

they probably stagger online inquires too. I updated them about a slight change to our apps via fax and email. they confirmed the fax within 24h but the email reply came today, 5 weeks later.

Very very good points to raise in this forum, Alex.
I hope all applicants in Buffalo and other snail offices will be treated more fairly. A big number of Buffalo applicants are already in Canada so at least those applicants are not new arrivals in Canada, by the way.
Best wishes for all of us,
saratracy

Hi cfr:

Now see, this is what gets me upset. I too got in touch with them four months ago with a new address, copies of new passports and PCCs. Sent it via, email, fax and snail mail. I NEVER got confirmation on anything, and last week I sent another inquiry, saying: "My address is still the old one on ecas, have you received my communications?"... and NOTHING

I realize getting a PR visa is a privilege, but at what cost? Insanity? :P
Sorry, just venting, back to the STAGGER line I go... ???

Hi all,

Please can anyone on this forum who initially applied as single (unmarried) and updated his application as married during the process before decision made give me some info on the dynamics involved; such as delay incurred, additional documentation requested, best time to inform VO i.e before or after medical etc.

I am about getting married this month & i wish i can find someone who has passed through this path.

Thanx

I Have done this and posted about in detail. After marriage, you should inform ASAP

If I want to make a short landing in Canada by the end of this month, will it be ok for me to use a bank draft (in British pounds) as proof of funds?
