Hello Friends,
I just checked my status and found it to have turned In Process. I hope more good news follows. Please update me on whether NDVO is sending communication through email now or still using paper mail. I have mailed my address change case specific query but it still shows old address. Could someone also write the email address from which NDVO sends communication so as to save it from going to Spam folder.

Hi all,

Please can anyone on this forum who initially applied as single (unmarried) and updated his application as married during the process before decision made give me some info on the dynamics involved; such as delay incurred, additional documentation requested, best time to inform VO i.e before or after medical etc.

I am about getting married this month & i wish i can find someone who has passed through this path.

You can send me a PM with more specific Qs, but in general u will hv to add ur wife as a dependent n tht can lead to delays. I did the same.

This is a copy of the email I sent to them:

Dear XXXX,
This is to acknowledge the receipt of your email.
I am concerned that my application has suffered ANOTHER setback as a result of ANOTHER loss of documents in your office. I can recall that my baby's application was declared missing in your office in July 2011 although it was later found in your office. That led to some significant delay in the processing of my application. And now, it is my wife's X-ray that is not found. I am very worried about these occurrences and the resulting delay in the processing of my application.
I have contacted the DMP and they are insisting that the parcel sent to you contained both X-ray for my wife and medical for my baby.
However, the hospital where the X-ray was done, has agreed to send another copy of my wife's X-ray (X-ray disc) to the DMP for onward transfer to your office.
I will inform you as soon as the X-ray is dispatched to your office.

I'm still here, and my Ecas is still "Received By Visa Office". I have heard no word from Buffalo since I sent them the documents they requested in June, and I have additionally sent them my New Work Permit, New Indeterminate Employment Offer Letter, and Record of Employment from my previous employer, which I (this time) sent with FedEx so it was definitely received on Tuesday.

It's very frustrating how damn slow it all is.

Just got back home after a long day having travelled to and from London on such a short notice. Got the PPR and handed in my passport today (I nor wan hear). Read your posts; Mandie, Smiler 11, Louise, 9jcanada and Shalom1 and I say a big thank you to you all for your well wishes.

I do think they can easily finish in 4 months. Here is why. Per the spreadsheet it seems that it takes 2 months from when buffalo received medical to issue passport request. So accordingly, they could send you the meds anytime from now to mid Dec and you will be done around mid February 2012 if you don't delay your medicals too much.

Honestly I'm just trying to avoid depression. Like you I am separated from my spouse and it's been almost 3 years now... It's tough and every day that passes it gets harder. I just want to keep some hopes that the Buffalo will be unleashed soon.
