I’m an inland applicant from Vancouver. I was told by the officers that Vancouver has a three months delay in conducting the landing interview. Not sure how accurate this is as I eventually got the RFV email to which I responded to and is now finished. I had received a letter from my PO that my local IRCC office would be contacting me for my landing interview which never happened even after a month and a half of waiting. I hope they contact you soon and best of luck.
In this case, can you choose to land at the boarder instead? And may I ask what is a ready for visa email, is it a same thing as PPR? Thank you

Does this mean I'm at the final stage which is the Background check?
How long will this take before I get an email requesting passport? Have I passed eligibility?

What does background check consist of?

Any help in advicing and let me know the approximate time...this would be appreciated.
The status from your online account does not show any detailed information, unfortunately. Not sure how long would it cost or what is the exact status of your application.

Not sure how i interpret my case .. processed at vancouver but i'm from ottawa...will they call me for landing interview at vancouver or keep it simple and send a PPR mail?

I crossed my 6 month mark today, just called IRCC and the agent told me my file is transferred to Montreal after the completion.
Guess I'm the unlucky one :(

If they call you for landing interview then they will transfer your file to Ottawa.

Yes I could have chosen how I land, either at POE or IRCC office. The IRCC route was much longer so I chose the POE route as I was making a trip out of the country anyways. Also RFV is the same as PPR email.

Thank you my friend! Do you know how long did it take for you to get your RFV ( since approval)? Thank you!

one day left... file approved Mar 14th, still waiting for landing email from Vancouver...

Any idea why would they transfer you to Montreal? Ain’t you supposed to just wait for a landing interview?

If they call you for landing interview then they will transfer your file to Ottawa.
Do you mean my landing interview might happen at Ottawa, but the scheduling and notification might still be done by Vancouver office ?

I think Ottawa will do the schedule since your case would be transfer to Ottawa to finalize.

@mike2236 thanks a lot for the detailed info. Hope I'll have a chance to choose as for me it's really the same - going to VO in Vancuver or just a few km further to the border with US makes no difference.
