Just an update my sister got her PR last Friday with autism dependent since the new policy effective June 2018. If your application have been transferred to CIC Niagara most probably your get approved. She under live in caregiver program. It may be depend which program applying for. No fairness letter from her just updated medical. I hope it helps. August 2015 applicant.
Hi! Such a wonderful news!!!
May I know what documents/reports did your sister presented for her dependent with autism?
Thank you.

Hi I was wondering how did you know wherther they apply the temporary policy or not?
Did you apply GCMS notes and find out? How is it presented on the GCMS notes?

Thanks!

Hi. You should bring your child's or brother's condition well documented to his medical evaluation. I refer to medical, neurological, school, therapist evaluations. The more documents you carry, the better. This way, the autism condition can be immediately identified and additional visits to other specialists can be avoided. When the case is reviewed, it will be marked M5, which indicates that one of the members may cause excessive demand for social or health services. Here they send the file to the CMAU (The Centralized Medical Admissibility Unit) which will review the file and when identifying the autism condition they will apply the temporary policy announced in April 2018. Once that step is completed, the medical evaluation will be marked as passed and The application will be approved. We did that and thank God we already received our PR.
Congratulations.
Did you apply in family class?

My application was recently apporved with an autism dependent. We provided School reports and pediatrician reports on services received.

Thanks for sharing and giving some time to write in forum.
I know you can understand many of us have the same situation.
my son's medical diagnosis with specialist paediatrician report submitted on dec 20,2019.
I have not heard anything after that. my status says we are reviewing your medical report.
How can I enquire about my application? DO I need to call cic call center?

congrats for your PR.

There isnt much you can do but to wait. I called once and i was told that my medical is with central medical unit in Ottawa.
It took ~1 month for the medical to be approved after we provided school report and pediatrician report.

Hello everyone, our PR application should have completed last January 23 per IRCC estimated date of completion but status changed to it's still on process. Our son has ASD diagnosis too and we are thinking maybe it's because of this? we applied inland, FSW. They don't show what is the completion date now unlike before so it's giving us the stress and feeling so anxious..

That is one of the issues we have. We can’t view our status in ecas and we’re not sure why. We have a consultant though and we asked her to send us the dates. I’ll let you know once we get an answer. When did you get AOR and what is your est completion date?
