Hi all,

After CIC received photocopy of my passport (not an RQ)
My ecas got updated today from received to In Process.
What In Process means on the new routine app?

Thank you.
Alex

It means that the documentation passed the first review at Sydney. Your application will not be returned.

Next step, background checks and transfer to local office.

Good luck !

Congrats man, just like I said.
And by the way I'm on the 9th too, 8:15AM.

Thanks. Yes I realized too. I didn't receive any letter yet. Do you have any recommended source for test?

Hi,

I took the test with my wife, easy if you read the guide a couple of times.

No problems in the interview but 3 to 6 months till oath because they (Montreal office) are overloaded.

Good luck !

I'm currently practising with the following online resources:

http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/
http://www.v-soul.com/onlinetest/
http://www.apnatoronto.com/canadian-citizenship-test-practice/
http://citizenshipcounts.ca/quiz
http://www.citizenshiptestca.com/

Some questions are hard, but I think passing with 15/20 is still easy if reading the book a few times and do some exercises.

Passed test today in Montreal (20/20).. The interview went well. The officer had a copy of the CBSA report so my copy was not needed at the interview.. However, the US CBP was a life saver as I had a couple of same day trips that I didn't declare in the residency calculators, which were mapped as entries in the CBSA report with no corresponding exits... She took the CBP copy, and went through every single stamp on my passports.. Stamp translations are required, though in my case the officer knew arabic so she didn't need them..
At the end, told all is well "for today"..If we need more info we'll let you know within 2 weeks, otherwise expect oath in 4 months..

Geez, 4 months. Can they not just rent more rooms?
I don't think I can make it in time to order CBP records. Right now I94 records can be accessed online, did you print that or use the actual ordered copy?
I have two US entries without a stamp. Guess I should prepare for that ...

This is not problem. When I participated in my wife's ceremony, Half of room was empty. and because her test and ceremony was in same day, it took just 30 min to prepare document. so it's not time problem too. so just we can say, it's usual problem of governmental office ...

The printed online ones worked fine for me

Congrats to everyone who have their test and oath dates!

Am I the only one here from June who haven't gotten any test date yet? :(
