I'll be looking for work once we get there. Savings should be plenty to carry us through for a good while and honestly it'll be good to have a break from the employment cycle =P

Plus the whole, having no idea when I'll be there thing isn't exactly appealing to employers

Yeah we're thinking of the same. The thought of taking a small break is very appealing!

I know what you mean. We've been planning this move for around 4 years and it feels like we've put our life on hold (like buying property and putting down roots) so it'll be nice to finally have some clarity of where we will be etc =]

My whole life has been a series of waiting for the next somethings so I don't doubt I'll find something new to wait on once we move =P

Hi folks, guess what, I just got PPR!

I raised my third CSE yesterday and am still waiting for GCMS notes, I had an email saying there was a new message in my account. I feared the worst expecting a PFL for something I had messed up, but it was titled 'request letter' and is the PPR. I honestly can't believe it.

Thank you all so much for your support, this forum has kept me going and I am still furious on behalf of each one of you that hasn't had PPR yet or helpful communication within the 6 months time frame. My timeline as follows:

2018
AOR July 3rd
MEP July 18th
IP2 July 18th
2019
PPR Feb 5th

Time from AOR to PPR 217 days or 7 months and 2 days.

3 x CSEs, 2 generic responses, 1 awaiting response.
1 GCMS notes requested January 20th, still not received.
Perhaps 3rd CSE actually resulted in action, or GCMS notes prompted it, or it's all just a coincidence.

I'm sorry it took longer than expected but you can now start your move/final process.

It would be extremely valuable to see your GCMS (or to have a summary of your timeline as written) once it arrives if you're willing to share!

We are from Germany and went through all the process and the waiting almost over the last 2 years from the start of our application under the
Ontario PNP up to receiving the PR card now.
So it's FSW - O and we had our AOR on 12-12-2017.
Needed to postpone the completion of the medicals because of our newborn.
Got medicals completed on 01-March-2018 and received the COPR on 18-April-2018 from the Visa Office in Vienna.

We never were in a rush and had time and didn't stressed ourselves, but you need to be very very patient.

We did our landing on 08-Sep-2018, got a new photo request on 31-Oct-2018 (since our photos were older than 6 months, used them for the COPR application). We received the PR card on 28-Jan-2019.
So you're in Canada now? Where did you end up moving to? Have you enjoyed your time there so far? Glad you made it!

I will be sure to share GCMS once I get it, hopefully in next 2 weeks. It would appear from my letter that my PPR has been issued via the Montreal office.

Guys who have passed the 6month mark, any one else had an update? Or request CSE/GCSM notes?

Hi all,

Not heard anything since passing medicals on 16 Aug. The only thing that changed when we hit 6 months was that the text next to the time bar in the myCIC portal changed to ‘approximately 20% of applications take longer than 6 months....’. It’s standardised wording and it appears it automatically appears pretty much to the minute you hit six months.

We have raised 3 CSEs and the responses are very generic and ignore any specific questions we asked. Other than that, there has been absolutely no update from IRCC.

We ordered our GCMS notes last month and they are due by 16th Feb. I really really wish I had taken the advice of some of the other guys on the July forum and ordered them earlier. At least then I would have some idea of anything that may be a problem. I am not the type of person who finds the current indefinite wait easy!

No option but to wait for GCMS notes. These days some people have reported receiving notes in 3 weeks so possibility is you receive them before 16 Feb. And also there is a possibility that you receive PPR before that. But in terms of more information about your application only way is to look at GCMS notes.

Hello there people,
Just wanted to say hello. My security still hasn’t started. Waiting continues. In the meanwhile, I raised a CSE and got a generic reply :( Ordered GCMS notes now
