Kamran, I have even seen some late December applicants got DM or PPR. I hope it happens to us soon.
Yeah, Some got it super fast. I hope we get it too. You and I are September applicants, applied 3 to 4 months earlier.

Can you teach us how to deal with CIC agents? :) I called them a few times and every time they repeated the same sentence like a tape: "Application processing time is 18 months, Blah Blah Blah, ........ "
I have the same problem. I think it's the matter of luck.

I think important is to convince call agent to open your files:

1) I use to tell him I want to see my RPRF fee is received as it does not appear on ecas ( i know it will never) but normally they ask uci and next u can ask at what stage is my file

2) I had to provide them my new lease for moving outside of quebec. So i ask did they receive my document and they normally ask for uci.

every time i directly ask for status i got the answer to check online or call if its beyond 18 months

Hi Formal,
You mentioned you had to submit your lease for moving outside Quebec? Did they ask it from you?
I am a Quebec applicant to FSWP PhD cat. I was asked to submit intention to leave Quebec and provided them. I was then asked to go for medicals, RPRF and PCC. I had submitted those by May first week and have been waiting since then. I got my 3rd line updated in Mid-May. I am waiting for PPR or some other request. I still have Quebec address on file.

Kindly let me know if I will also have to send in a lease outside Quebec or something to change my address? At which stage would they ask for it?

Regards,
Anubhav

in rprf email it was explicitely stated they will not issue me visa and copr until i move out of quebec and once i do that send them proof of new residence.

if they did not mention this you should be fine but you may have problem while landing like one of my colleague as officers at border told himyou are living in quebec u should have csq. then he changed his address and then it wad fine.

i hope everything will go fine for all of us

Hi everyone,

After I sent back my application for review about 2 weeks ago, I was very happy to find that my CC was charged yesterday!!

So, I'm ~6 months behind schedule, but this might actually work out for me.

Thank you very much to this forum for being so supportive, hopefully I'll be around for a few more months as my application progresses.

Hi all, (I apologize for the long post but I could REALLY use your help)

Some of you may remember my very unfortunate case, but here is a reminder: I submitted my application in September 2014 and was rejected at the CIO early stage in late December (before CC charge). I only received the application when I came back from Christmas break in mid-January, so it was too late to re-apply.

The reason for the rejection was “...not provided sufficient evidence that you have a minimum of one year of continuous full-time, or equivalent part-time, paid work experience in the primary occupation in the last ten years...”. I did submit two letters, one listing my experience as TA for 3 years (~350 hours total), and one with my experience as RA (~3120 hours). In hindsight, having two separate letters was a bad idea, since it required extra attention from them to add up the numbers. I do not have any other work experience.

Back in January 13th I sent both a letter and an email (with copies of the experience letters attached) explaining what I think was their mistake. Astonishingly, today I received an email reply from “TAM” at the Client Service Unit explaining that since they don't keep records of the returned applications, in order to comment on the return he/she asks me to send back the unaltered application to his/her office for a review!!

Of course I am keeping my expectations VERY low, but it seems that there might be a chance that if I can provide a clear enough explanation, this person could put my application back on track!

So here is my question: back in February I consulted with an Immigration Specialist. Her almost immediate (and final) answer was that CIC was right and that I shouldn't have even applied since it is clearly stated (she showed me the line but I can't remember where it was) that any work experience obtained while being a full-time student is not counted. This link seems to suggest that for FSW it should be counted: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=855&t=6, but it doesn't explicitly says if you can be a full time student at the same time.

I know that many of you here have applied with only NOC 4012 experience obtained while being full-time students in Canada, so how would you refute her argument?

Thank you very much for ANY help!!
