Hey guys,

Another update; the third line in my ecas was just updated: Medical results have been received.

Here is my timeline again:

App. filed: September 18, 2014
PER: January 6, 2015
MR, Doc request, RPRF: February 2, 2015
Medical done: February 7, 2015

Congratulations! I did medical on Feb 2 and still haven't got the third line...

Hi fellows,

We have received our passports with visas issued on them today. However, the name of my daughter on the visa and COPR is mistakenly written.
They wrote the full name in the given name. What should we do? should we return it back for correction?

Peppe and other fellows, please give me your opinions.
P.S. we will land at a local CIC office.

Thanks

Hi friends,

I am new to this forum and I am December 2014 applicant. What is the last charged cc date for PhDs? Please advise. thank you ::)

Hi all,

I am waiting for passports to return from CIC. It reached there on Mon.
Three questions:

1) How long can I delay the landing for? (see Q3)
2) How long would it take (average and max) from landing to receiving the PR card by mail (Vancouver)?
3) Would it be a problem to re-enter Canada if I leave after landing and before I get the PR card?

Yes, send it back for corrections. Read the letter cpc ottawa sent you with your passport. It explains very clear how to send passports back for corrections.

Please be advised that you may still land with this mistake in your daughter's CoPR, however the PR card of hers will come with the same mistake. Case Processing Center in Sydney only uses the information written in CoPR to issue PR cards.

Expirity date of immigrant visas coincides with the day you underwent medical exams. For example, if you underwent medicals on Dec 01 2014, your immigrant visa will be valid until Dec 01 2015. If your spouse underwent medicals after you, she/he will have the same expiration date as you.

Processing time for PR Cards is 26 days after landing plus an additional 2 weeks for mail delivery.

It is not recommended to leave Canada before getting your PR card, unless you want to use your immigrant visa in that way. However, if you still have your student visa valid after becoming PR and before getting PR card, you can leave Canada and show your student visa to the airline when coming back. Here in Canada you can show your CoPR to enter the country. This is at your own risk, because CoPR will clearly say NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL.

Thanks Pepe84 for the reply. Another inquiry, please
The original entry date is also wrong in CoPR. should I mention this for CIC also? What is the way to inform them? is it a cover letter?

When was your assigned due date?

At last I got a decision made and passport request.. a long journey. So grateful to God..

Yes, mention that to CPC Ottawa too. Like I said, your CoPR cannot have any errors because your CoPR client copy will be your record of landing that must be kept for Citizenship application.
