At rainbow bridge office, just the closing balance is fine. I am sure of this because this is what I showed when I did my landing at exactly this port of entry.

Hi Guys

There is great news to share, I got Passport request, ( Don't worry about CIC working on Sat, I received last night), The title of email is ready for Visa. and its really strange email was in french. I checked and translated on google translator. They advised me to send passport via Canada Post.

Can you guys advise me what is best way to send Passport, I need to send another document with Passport.
My wife is back home, any idea to send her passport to embassy back home.

Congratulations,
I hope I get mine soon

Hi blackrock,

Since my spouse is also back home, I wanted to find the answer to your question as well. The fastest option is what pepe suggested- send both together. Another way could be to request visa office to arrange the visa to be stamped in the nearest office back home. Here's a forum post that discussed this issue:

I hope Saph you will get your passport request soon, beat of luck,

Hello everyone,

Is there anybody here, who has recently landed as PR and received PR card?

According to the CIC website it should take 26 calendar days, means less than a month. I would be really thankful if you could share your own experience.

Thanks,

Dear Seniors,

I have received PER on 14 January and today I have received additional document request.
Actually, I live in Montreal and I put ontario as intended province. So officer asked to show the
intention that I will not stay in Quebec.

In my application, I have included my intention to stay outside of quebec, by one letter by myself,
letter from my current supervisor stating that he intends to leave quebec because of the scope of
his research in companies in Toronto and he mentioned most of his graduated students are working in Toronto.

I think they ignored my these documents. Now my situation is I am close to graduation, i.e., I am writing my thesis
and hope for the defence in MAY or June.

I need seniors advice please, Following is the email:

------------------
I am writing you this letter to express a concern regarding your application for permanent residence in Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker Class.

As per Regulation 75(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, the Federal Skilled Worker Class is prescribed as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to economically establish themselves and who intend to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec. Although you indicated on your application form that you intend to reside in Toronto, Ontario, you currently live in Montreal, Quebec. I am concerned that you do not intend to live in a province other than the Province of Quebec.

Therefore, please submit information and/or documentation that would allay this concern within 30 days from the date of this letter. Documents could include a lease or job offers/acceptance outside of the province of Quebec. Please ensure that you quote the file number indicated at the top of this letter on any information you submit. If you do not to respond with additional information and/or documentation, or if your submission does not allay this concern, your application may be refused.

------------------

I have exactly the same case, I showed that few evidence. Lease agreement in Ontario, I don't speak French. I have applied for Jobs in Ontario and my family (my brother and my mother) lives in Ontario.

If your ecas shows "in process" it means your application has been deemed eligible for processing (no refund of processing fee is possible after this point). The next step is the "in detail" review by CIO and once you pass that step, you will receive the "PER email" and your file will be transferred to a visa office for processing/decision.

Hello Guys,

Please I need clarification on the specific meaning of the 'in process' status on ecas.

I opened the FSW submitted to CIO Sydney link under the status line.

It seems TO ME that the table is a Step-wise (Step 1, 2, 3....) list of the stages the Application has passed or will pass through.
If so, it will mean that the Visa Office has received our application package and has completed eligibility review. Now they have placed it 'in process'. Then the next thing will likely be Medicals, as per the steps?.

No they did not ask me anything else.

Hi Guys, I am following up this question and was wondering if they ask us additional documents such as experience letter and more documentation regarding bank statements after they issue PER (I received PER Email recently). Although i haven't sent police clearance certificate along with application which is the last document before medical i guess. Please clarify.

Thanks!

You may order the GCMS note anytime now, it definitely won't affect your processing time.
Please refer to previous posts for the steps to order GCMS notes.
