Great Viva2014! Once you hear from CIO you can just relax, because I am almost 100% sure that they are finalizing this process. CPC Ottawa is only checking for criminality and medicals but the eligibility is being held by CIO this time.

Thanks Pepe. Yes, you are totally right in my viewpoint. They have changed the regulations. Now, the only office checking applications is CIO. It means that once you get your PER, you will not be rejected anymore (unless for criminality, security or health issues) as Ottawa does not check the application anymore and they simply send MR.

Just a note;

Did you guys know you can check the status of your application before you get your PER email and of course if it has been placed into processing?

Well, when I got my CC charged I checked the status of my application without any file number. How? well, I am not sure if you know that you get a UCI number once you receive your Student Visa. With this number you can check the status of your PR application online, because this is a unique number and will also be the number of your PR card once you get it. Make sure you type the number correctly like this XXXX-XXXX.

So if you guys got your CC charged and still waiting for PER email and file number, then don't wait, use your UCI number written in your student visa or study permit and check the status!!!!

Thanks Pepe. Is it possible for those who have not got CC charged to check their status too?

I believe you can but only few days before your CC is going to be charged. Why am I thinking this? Well, my GCMS notes say that my file was opened and a number assigned on September 23rd and all documents were finished revising on that day! Then I got my CC charged on the 25th of September. Therefore, I believe that as soon as you get your file number assigned it means that your application will be placed into processing and you can check the status online. However I am not certainly sure because if for some reasons the payment is rejected due to CC issues, then they will reject the application and I don't know if the file number assigned will be removed or not. :(

Exactly, look at this: CPC Ottawa got my file on Oct 31st (Friday) and I got PCC and RPRF requests on Nov 3rd (Monday) and Medicals on Nov 4th. It's almost impossible that they checked my application including reference letters in one day (Oct 31st)!!!!

Actually, the summary of GCMS notes says that my reference letters are fine and include all duties and lead statement of NOC 4012 and bla bla bla... and these GCMS notes were last updated in Oct 10 before the file was transferred to CPC Ottawa.

Oh. That's interesting. I will try but probably until they charge CC, we would be unable to see that. Do you have the link for checking status?

Very good evidence. So, we can now be sure about this change in regulations. ;)

Here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp

Which category did you apply for?, select: Permanent Residence from within Canada

More specifically, which category of permanent residence from within Canada did you apply for?, select: temporary resident permit holders

the click on "check application status"

Then mark "I have read, understood and agree with the above Terms and Conditions"

Identification Type: Select "Client ID number / Unique Client Identifier" This is the UCI number written in your study permit
Make sure you type the UCI like this XXXX-XXXX, if you do not include the hyphen it won't work!

then fill out all your personal information.

You can easily order the notes from https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do. I did mine yesterday and it was very straightforward.

I just applied for GMC notes, how long it takes to get this report?

Exactly 30 days :( Regarding to your note about being in the tracker, I just don't want to reveal my country of origin which is mandatory in order to be included in the tracker, sorry!!!

checking ECAS status online to know the change in status. processiong ------> medicals receipved ---------> decision made etc.
researching on tracking sheets (both PhD stream and FSW 2014) about when the PER is issued and medical/passport requested etc.
GCMS notes

Nope! and I am not expecting any change until or after this coming Thursday. I had the exam last Thursday and my physician told me he was gonna upload the results to CPC Ottawa today!!!

Can you call your physician and ask if they uploaded the results yet?

Keep calm and all will be smooth from now on ;D!

Thanks pepe84.
My doc said she will upload them on coming Wednesday. So, i can not expect to see the change in status before that.
When can we expect change in ECAS status after they submit the results?
From FSW 2014 sheet, i can see some people get passport request next day after medicals received at vo and for some people ita takes forever.
:(
