Hello all,

I'm new here. I received an email from CIC requesting additional docs regarding my marriage. They requested evidence of the relationship between me and my spouse (wedding/engagement photos, chat records, emails...etc). I received this request after PPR. The weird thing is I added my wife to my PR application before they started processing it. I'm getting nervous as it's been almost a month since we sent our passports to CIC. Did anyone here receive similar request from CIC?

Here's my timeline:

PER: Feb 25, 2013
Added spouse: Jan 17, 2014
Doc request (POF): Feb 21, 2014
RPRF: May 1, 2014
Medical Request: May 2, 2014
PPR: Jul 7, 2014
Doc request (marriage verification): Jul 14, 2014
Nationality: Libya
eCAS: Decision Made

Still haven't received the passport request but I'm not in a hurry as I'm planning to travel soon. After passport request how much time will I have to mail my passport? I hope it's more than 30 days.

I believe it's RK6165. I found it in the RPRF email. I also found that the officer DB00204 is the one who requested the additional marriage docs.

Me too. I have to attend a conference. Don't want my passport stuck with them.
However, I think I read somewhere in the forum if you attach a letter mentioning that you need the passport to travel, they send the passport with visa quickly.

I guess they received some negative info from the security screening of your wife.
Name confusion is common. Send whatever they ask for, as decision has been made it should be alright.

I believe it's RK6165. I found it in the RPRF email.

I sent them engagement and wedding photos along with some other docs. I hope that will do the trick. I'll keep you guys updated. Thank you for your reply.

I emailed the requested docs to CPC-Ottawa on July 13th, then got the medical and RFPR requested on July 17, I sent the RFPR fee receipt on July 18.

So when did you email them the requested documents? Did you email them?

Have you sent POF with the initial application package, or later upon request?

If CIC request POF (say 6 month), does this "6 month" mean six month before the date when CIC requests POF, or the date when we send application?

No need to send 6 months statements while you apply. Just bank certificate is enough. When CIC requestsfor POF, you have to send the LATEST 6 months statements but not from when you applied.
