If this is the case, can I update my proof of fund. I have the limit now in my bank account stable for the last 6 months.
Yes. Do it as soon as possible. At least you try your last chance.

NO, I just sent the funding letter from my university with the amount of 20,000$ annually and letter for the bank with around 7000 $ (but that was not for 6 month).

But if this is the problem, they should ask for proof of fund before making a decision, right?
That is most probably the reason for your rejection. I remember somebody here who got rejected for having $150 less than the minimal amount (11 K). Take is serious and update them quickly.

No. You are rejected for this specific reason.

Dear All,

After getting PER, I believe the application will be transferred from Sydney to Ottawa? So what's next? How long should we expect to hear from CIC again?

Thanks!

I strongly believe your application is rejected for this reason. No matter what you need to have 11115 CAD (Whatever) in your bank account. They do not consider the salary in the offer letter. You can try updating it before they send the rejection email. But also be prepared for the worst case scenario. Sorry.

Hey Guys,

I just finished my PhD and got a post-doc position in a university. I applied in this category in OCT2013. What should be my next step. Should I update my file and what should I send to them and how (mail or email) ?

Thanks in advance

Any one can send me a checklist for PhD stream?
I didn't find it via the forum.
Thank you!
Here you go. It's on the Canadian immigration website:

Good Luck!

Hi Friends,

After reading the posts in this forum I have one more question in addition to above questions.

As per some of the Quebec applicants who applied in FSW category, the CIC officer asked them to provide with the evidence that they have intention to live outside Quebec. I do not have any job offer or property outside Quebec as I still have two more years to go. But my wife has a brother in Ontario. Can it be a strong evidence to support my claim of settling outside Quebec?
Please experts, shed some light on my query. Thanks in advance.

I do not think so.

You are supposed to land somewhere in Canada other than Qc after getting your PR visa. As you still have 2 more years to go for your P.hD., you would be rejected anyway, unless your processing takes longer than 2 years!
