Two questions:

1-I have got a TA letter from HRIS that list the duties. This letter doesn't say anything about RA. Do you think I should send this letter in my application package? (I have another letter from my supervisor with details about both TA and RA)

2-If I send my package and they receive it during the holidays (Dec 25-Jan 1) is it ok? somebody is there to receive it?

Simply if it is holiday, that means no delivery services. It will stays at delivery company :). "But send today better than tomorrow."

Got my visa and heading to the border tomorrow. A quick question, do I need to have my previous (expired) passports with me or just the current one is enough?

Congrat. You got your medical request very soon, however, your security took 6 month as other Iranians.

If the security check was 6 months, that was ok :)

Mine is more than 6 months and still no PPR. Samira has been waiting for 10 months now and mehroonir got the PPR after 8 months.

Please reply ... anyone ??

Dear Experts,

I have started my PhD this fall and was looking into PR things, according to evaluation on web , i'm eligible to apply for CSQ. Please suggest me should i apply now ? or wait 2 more years to apply under federal PhD stream? Which one is faster?

is there any relation of Comprehensive examination with this PR application? some1 told me that you become eligible once you finish your comprehensive..??

P.S ( I have my brother here in Quebec, No French experience but have 5 years of relevant industry experience)

Thanks in advance ... your guidance can really make a BIG difference

Cheers !!

Do you want to reside in Quebec? For PhD stream you should show your intention to live outside Quebec. You are at the beginning of your studies and may have to live in Quebec for another 4 to 5 years. This will cause complications later on.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been awarded the 5 adaptability points for 2 academic years of study(claiming that from their PhD study, not any previous study). And if yes, what kind of paperwork is required for that?

For claiming adaptability points for spouse past experience, how many number of hours they must have worked? And does that need to be in one calendar years, or work hours over more than a year can be accumulated?

Hello Thakuvet,

I received 5 adaptability points... in my GCMS note I have been awarded 5 points for previous study in Canada, I have my bachelor and master's degrees from foreign countries.

Regards,

Congratulations! I put a note next to your user name that shows you got your PPR for the CEC application.

Congratulations! For your CEC application, did you just use your TA/RA? Because I noticed for the PhD stream, you only have TA/RA.

Super quick! Congrats. Did they anywhere in the applications asked whether you have another permanent residency application in parallel?
