Dear All,

I received e-mails from CIC requesting me to do medicals and pay RPRF this morning. All the best for all of your applications.
Stay happy, guys. :)

I have almost lost hope in the Canadian immigration system, but I think it's much faster now after the new rules :D Congrats, dude!!!

Just in 4 month? I cannot believe.

Under the new rules, I don't think the timeline is that unbelievable :) If you check the FSWP 2013 thread, you'll come to know that several May and June 2013 have too already received medical requests.

They will be receiving the least number of FSWP applicants this year compared to the previous years, so it may not be that far fetched that they work faster now :) ?

Congrats! I noticed that you have previously applied in Feb 2012 so is this your second application? Does that mean they speed up those who have submitted their second application?

hey zhougt,

I sent my application in Feb and got PER in March 2013. I received my GCMS notes in September. My file has not even been looked at by the people in Ottawa. The only update that was there was from the people in Sydney. If you are worried then ask for the GCMS notes. You will get an update thru that.

Hi sgtrigger,

Thank you for your reply. But how can I access my GCMS note? Any tips?

Yah, this is my second application. They didn't accept my RA/TA work experience letter in the previous one. And Im not sure if they have sped up those who have applied before.

you can file a request under the privacy act/RTI act. If you are in Canada you can file under the privacy act which is free. Its online method. takes about a month to receive your notes. I am not allowed to post links but you can find the link under the post just above this one by kaziahmmed. Its under the tag CAIPS/GCMS notes...

I have a question.
When was your document request? I see in your profile you wrote Oct. 24 which is today. Did CIC ever asked you for documents? If yes, when did they?

Thanks.

thanks for the suggestion. yes we all are on the application. Onething, it is really hard to find someone trustworty to bring pp here. do u think i should raise the issue with CIC by emailing them.

I would say look for your close friends going/coming to/from your home country. You should be able to find one.
Or as somebody said here, you can contact DHL and ask them if they deliver passports provided your embassy allow that.
You can always ask CIC what you should do.

By the way, I think you forgot to answer my question. Are your dependents (spouse/child) currently living in your home country? And you applied for them from here in Canada. Doesn't it make your application to take a longer time since their case have to be assessed by the local embassy of Canada in your home country?

Wow, Congrats, you are so lucky dude. I have a very similar case as you. Been refused last year and filed a new app in April 2013.

I was referring to RPRF request. And no, CIC has not asked any other documents before.
