And as far as I know, I think large amount of money like 40K or more is the problem, that much money is not an Issue. There are many of those companies INSIDE CANADA that transfer money to Iran. If it was a problem, Canadians would do something about them. Aidina, If you wanna be safe, even you may ask one of those Iranian Sarafies in Canada to do this for you. Then If they ask how did you transfer, You can say, with one of those Canadian Sarrafies.

:). That is my concern as well. We do not know if what Sarrafis do is legal.
i think you should go with the cdn bank acct...you can show the dates youwithdrew the amount from your iranian acct...it must say that it was withdrawn by SELF i'm assuming, additionally you can show the dates you deposited it into your cdn acct and show plane ticket details as well

I did that hooman. We came back from Iran 10 days ago, and brought about 15k. The money is sitting in my account right now. However, what if he asks for the account history? Do you think my explanation would satisfy him?

Yes, if they want bank history, you have to show iranian bank history and the day that you took the money from your iranian bank account. I would say yes.

If you brought the money with you 10 days ago, I would say it should be fine. Just show them history of your account in Iran (showing the withdrawal of money from the same account you showed them before... hopefully you took the money from the same account you showed them before?) and history of your account in Canada showing the deposit. Also show them entry/exit stamps in your passport(s) and the exchange rate CAD:Rials supporting the withdrawal amount (in Rials) is equivalent to the deposited amount (in CAD). And explain these in a letter.

hope it helps

Also Aidina , remember, when you deposit cash, it shows in your bank account that that money is in fact cash. This itself can be proof that you took the money and bring it in canada by cash. You can not borrow 15K by cash. I do not think so.

Hey guys, I sent in my POF yesterday. Got a RPRF and PCC request today.

Did the RPRF email state that you have been found eligible? If so, congratulations! So they only evaluated your POF for a single day it seems :)

And pay off the RPRF as soon as possible. You don't want to delay the issuance of your visa :)

And do you mind sharing your timeline with the rest of us?

umm...its says "Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding. You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued"

I am in the database :)

did you submit pccs with ur application?

I should also add that I did provide an updated RA reference letter from my supervisor on May 26 which was forwarded to an officer on May 27. Whether they considered it is a question.

Hi Hooman 2012,

In eCAS they updated the status of my application. I see my application is in process. How about yours? but still there is no file number or PER email from them. Confused..

I took a new IELTS test in February to get more points for official language proficiency (Based on my first IELTS I would get 12 points).

Is it possible to update the Language Score with a higher one after the application being submitted? As you did.

Yes you can. There is nothing that could restrict you increasing your points. But it has to be before the decision has been made.

Is there any body in this forum, who reported higher language score after application and Ottawa accepted it.
