when did she apply? and did she send her file to buffalo or cairo

hint: cairo is not working these days and all the files are being directed to opp in ottowa and that is fast as hell.

Damn it! There was a big miscomunication, she applied in the FSW3, but the one from 2 years ago! :(
Back to the normal guys! :( By the way, she chose buffalo, and therefore took two years for them to request the medical !!!!!!!!

That blows :( Anyway, one of my friends applied under FSW3 3 years ago (I think it was September 09 when he submitted his application to Nova Scotia), and he got his medical January last year if I'm not mistaken. He got his passport stamped around April or May '11, so the whole process was 19 - 20 months. Buffalo did take forever, huh...

Yep, that completely ruined my day.... I was so excited :/.

I was wondering. Do you think they will request us to get RCMP police clearance certificates? Since most of us have been living in Canada for more than 2 years, it seems they may request, eh?

It is mentioned that we have to submit police clearance certificates from all the places that we live for more than 6 months outside canada. So I guess they have their own method to check the applicant's history inside canada. To be specific, they may have the right to do the same procedure as the RCMP do.

Did you guys send any cover letter to clarify some parts (experience or bank statement ect.)?

Yes.

Yea! I confirmed with CIC that we do not need to provide police certificate from Canada. They will do the check themselves.

did you guys provide copies of your birth certificate?...i'll have to go to India to get mine.....i have a copy of my baptism certificate though..
also, should all the documents which we submit as "copies" be notarised??

I had my parents send me a copy with translation from my home country. It sucks I know :( About notarized copies, I don't think there was ever a requirement to notarize copies of documents (unless the documents need to be translated), but I did it anyway, just to be on the safe side.

Does anyone receive VO file number here or not? As in spread sheet it seems that you are all waiting.

Look at the PER column.

Update:
My status on CIC has been changed from "... null ..." to "We received your application for permanent residence on December 16, 2011.". But not PER for me yet.

IS PER the letter that you receive from CIO or Visa office? Does it mean file number? if yes then what is the next column? sorry just a bit confused with abbreviations
