Are we permitted to apply CAIPS for a second time?

Through this forum I came to know that one can order CAIPS through CIC's Access to Privacy website.
What kind of residence proof should I provide to apply?

While you have a Canadian mailing address, you do not need to provide any proof. However, you might want to submit the copy of your study permit.

I got the reference letter from my school. It was written by the school secretary and signed by the school dean.
Thanks Aidina! If you don't mind, could you share the reference letter template? If you do, it is fine.

Well. CIC basically receives your documents, skims through it to see if the application is complete and sends it to CPP-O. They don't actually look at everything with care. I you look at Peoples CAIPS, you will see a lot of "SEEMS" complete, seems to have year of experiences.. So is just a very high level analysis.

I don't really agree with you on this point, TyrusX. If CIC Sydney only roughly skims the applications, why many applicants got rejected at Sydney level for not obtaining enough 67 points (for example, phdapplicant in his first round, as I remember)? They also rejected many applications just because of the wording in the letter of working experience...I mean they do read every word in your application. I also would like to stretch the fact that for the same letter of working experience, Sydney and Ottawa treat totally differently.

Finally, why it is so hard for Sydney people to surely check if an applicant is eligible to get 5 adaptability points or not at the first glance? (I think it is super easy to check if their rule for it is consistent).

The treat them differently because the process is different, they are not evaluating your application, just checking if your applications seems to be good enough for processing. Truth is, they just don't care if you go thru or not.

100% agreed. This is totally a bug in their system.

I have requested Sydney to include my Spouse name in PER. So that I can apply for OHIP for both of us

This the reply from Sydney

"The letter is issued to the Primary Applicant only. We are unable to provide further correspondence in your spouse’s name,."

What are the options with me right now ?
Any how I have show my wife's name to apply her OHIP..

Any ideas.?????????? What about CAIPS ? If I order CAIPS then is that going to help me to apply OHIP for my wife.

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

It basically must contain information about:

title of job experience
hours worked per week
length of employment
field of work
duties (must match the significant number of duties as listed under the NOC code)
salary

That's so unfortunate :( Several people I know have had their wives' tuition reduced by virtue of being their dependants, and this usually makes a much more significant difference when compared to principal applicant's PhD tuition, since they usually pay full international tuition and are not eligible for international fee differential waiver.

I think they probably stopped including spouses' names in the PER emails because they noticed that some students, especially those from Ontario, have taken advantage of their eligibility to save thousands of dollars per term in their spouses' tuition. You can probably still make your case for OHIP though if you just show that you and your wife are legally married, and you both are part of your application. Good luck and do let us know of your situation.
