Meaning , are there cases where applicants don't get a AOR on submission?
I got it as soon as I submitted the application !
However I submitted it on a weekend.

no my friend, i guess you got me wrong... i haven't submitted my file to CIC yet... i have just passed over all my documents to my immigration consultant/lawyer who is representing my application with CIC... once he submits it through his systems that's when i'll get AOR... which should be sometime around this week...

I have a question , I can see these updates but I don't see a email notification.

I also tried to login in through ECAS using the Application number , I dont see anything there as well
Do I have to wait for Email for ECAS to be active ?

Hi ALL
I need some urgent advice.
Case:My lawyer submitted my work permit extension application (paper application) to CIC just 2 days before expiry of my work permit in April.
I am presently working on Implied Status. On Implied status, I got ITA and I applied for permanent residency under FSW. I have an AOR. However, I do not know how to update AOR with CIC to get work permit extension.
I called up CIC helpline and they were of no help.

I am sure that there are some more people who have gone through this situation.
Any help will be much appreciated.

I didn't get the question.

If you applied work permit extension you can keep working.

Thanks Macast. I guess I need to use Case specific enquiry.

However, let me explain again.
I applied for work permit extension via snail mail in April (PGWP was to expire on April 14). While I was waiting for my work permit extension application decision, I got ITA and applied for express entry. Now I need to tell CIC that I have applied for PR so that they give me a bridge work permit.
I called CIC helpline and they said contact the concerned office.

Well I don't know. You status suppose to be implied right now so, why you need to apply for a BOWP?

But maybe somebody else could help use because I am just guessing.
