Thankyou @gurik and @legalfalcon ! I was lost for a moment there o_O
My case was analysed by a lawyer at first (using my CV, Education&WorkExperience) and he said Im eligible even though my experience isnt related to education, although similar=Master of Biology working as an Editor in media which covers agricultural topics, eco&urban farming, markets etc.
Many people here dont have any connection between E&WE so it is very important to reassure it is not a concern.
Yes, I am also glad it is clarified. It is indeed reassuring. Although like you said, i concur that your E&WE are related so great both ways.:)
btw any updates on your file? you must be close to meds?

Do they check only by matching words? What if the reference letter does not mention exactly the words that appeared under NOC description?
No, not by matching words dear, they check for actual duties, i.e the essence and basic nature of your duties should match your NOC, it might be stated in different words but the work being done should match and be same.
Also one should avoid making your duties an exact copy-paste from your NOC duties, it does not looks bonafide, seems copied and might lead to rejection. Just mention your genuine work properly.

Astral, As per your understanding you are saying that if an applicant's work and education are completely unrelated, he/she will get CRS points for both?
What I mean is that I understand that an individual with Masters in Economics can practice many jobs like teaching, managing, finance etc. but a Master's in History cannot, so will a Master's in history working as finance manger get points for both work and education?
So the conclusion is that every applicant will get points for Education and WorkExperience even though they are not at all correlated, for example a Language teacher working as a Sales manager.

Yes, I concur that (from all the above discussion).

56th day here!! I hope next week. Biting toes here :)

Can anyone tell me what checks take place specifically in each of the 3 stages of background checks; ip1, na, ip2 before they request for passport?

in simplified version please

please don't include too much of complicated immigration jargon

Thanks, dude! Good to know that. I am worrying about it, as the wording is quite different to duties listed under NOC. However, the genuine work content fall into the category. I'm pretty sure about that. I mentioned that in my LOE as well. It is the biggest concern I'm having now. Cross the fingers and wait for progress

Theres only two checks. First is completness check for documents, if youre missing something you get refused. Second is eligibility, criminality, security check. That means they check for Reference letters, diplomas, everything you claimed CRS points for.

It is IP1, NA and maybe another in progress but not all go through all this stages. if you go through the standard procedures by Immigration officers Completeness first, Eligibility, Admissibility (Medical, Criminality and security.) then PPR This is the Steps and procure after January 2015

There is nothing to worry.

You have completed your IP1. You should get your IP2 soon.

The step before your BG status turning IP2 is where they check your NOC, Work Experience, POF, Travel History, etc. So ideally it will take time (based on individual's file).

Good luck !!
This may not be the case as
