Hi just want to ask po if the students can do more than 20 hours part time job during intersession or marking week?? Thanks

Hello, You can do more than 20 hours if:

1. You are working in campus
2. You are on a scheduled break (summer or winter break)

Applied sds program
Dec 21 - lodged paper based
Jan 25 - requested police clearance dun sa isang bansang nag work ako dati

No update till now

Sa 4th week of feb na intake ko....
You're lucky that they asked for additional documents instead of denying the application outright ;)

Even in PR applications, there are cases where they ask people to re-submit documents. As long as you fulfill their request within the given deadline, then all you have to do is wait for the results. I'm not sure if you can submit a CSE (case specific enquiry) to follow up with the progress of your application though

Hello, a newbie here.
Nag apply po ako sa Seneca for admission last 20/Nov 2017 for sept (fall) 2018, kaya lang haggang ngayon wala pang offer letter. More than 2 months na wala parin, normal lang po ba ung ganon? Wat po ung suggestion nyo for this situation?

Hello, @ishhi,

I suggest you send a follow-up... even if sa fall 2018 pa start. :)

Hi all,

I have been reading and back-reading minsan re-reading pa :)

I have few question po sa mga senior members ng forum. But before raising the questions, eto po yung background ko:

Way back 2014 I got a refusal from a different application (Live-in Caregiver program). Fast forward, nasa Toronto na si Mama about to file for citizenship this Feb 2018. My three brothers, who got approved Nov 2014, flew to Canada March 2015.

I plan to apply for Student Visa, targeting Fall 2019, 2 years Diploma in Biotechnology at Centennial. I am a BS Biology graduate 2007. So we all opted to push the target by Fall 2019.

I understand that there are two ways to get student visa. Eto na po yung mga questions:
  1. If I choose the regular application route, tama po ba na I just pay for 1 sem tuition?
  2. Pwede po bang proof of funds in PHP equivalent to the required C$10,000 + C$4K +C$6?
  4. Ung consultancy agency na tumutulong sa akin advised na mas okay na ang wife and two kids (both under 4 yrs old) ay kasabay ko na sa application. In this case, mas okay po ba na ako po muna ang mag apply then to-follow ng ung application ni misis and kids?
  5. With SDS option, do I need to secure Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) total C$20,000 (me, wife and two kids)?
  6. Meron po ba dito na almost same situation: all immediate family members are now living in Canada, principal applicant will apply for Student Visa? Wife and kids plan to join the principal applicant in going to Canada.
Thanks in advance. God bless to all who have their application and currently awaiting response from Canadian Embassy. ;)

3) Yes
4) Either malakas loob ng agency mo or wala siyang idea sa current approval rate kapag whole family nagapply.
5) GIC can only be $10,000, no more than that.
6) Meron pero marami ring narerefuse

Hi, since you already have relatives here, have you considered applying via express entry? You can play around with the calculator and see if you qualify :)

Hi!

We tried and have considered that option po. Okay naman yung points, passing but not enough to include my application for draw.
