Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

thank you for replying. yun nga rin ang concern ko, baka madeny ako if i go there too early.
I only applied for 1 year Business certificate. I only submitted the minimum requirements online.
LOA, Tuition deposit receipt, Proof of funds(200k only), letter of support from aunt (not notarized), NBI, medical clearance, blah blah. and my letter of explanation on why i want to study in Canada, and if I have plans of returning to my home country. Medyo dinramahan ko sa letter of explanation ko kaya siguro na approve yung akin.

Dun sa question mo, I read in the earlier posts here that some went to Canada as early as 2-3months before the start of their programs and there weren't any problem naman daw sa POE. Sabihin nlang daw na maghahanap pa ng bahay, mag a-adjust pa, etc etc. or kung may relatives ka dun, makikipagbonding ka muna sa kanila. Just make sure you have proof that you can support yourself when you go there early.

I just got my IELTS schedule. Yes, mas nauna din yung speaking test, which is two days prior to the written tests. Bakit kaya di na lang nila isama sa isang araw lahat, o di kaya a day before or after the other? Impractical kase lalo na sa mga kagaya ko na kailangan pang mag travel ng malayo just to take the tests.

I have these bank accounts kase - 3 savings accounts, 2 USD time deposit accounts, 1 peso time deposit account, 2 checking accounts. Now, 7 of these accounts were joint accounts by me and my aunt. Last month, everything was ammended to me, so wala na yung name ng aunt ko. These accounts have been in the bank for more than 10 years already.

I will be showing these accounts to CIC as my proof of funds. Do I still have to explain everything to CIC? According to someone from the bank, di na daw lalabas yung name ng aunt ko sa bank certificate.

Guys, baka may mai-advise kayo.

For sure nakalagay pa yung name ng aunt mo dun sa bank statement na kukunin mo pero wala na yung name niya sa certificate, I'm not sure about that pero mas okay kung iexplain mo lahat sa SOP mo Kasi baka maguluhan mga VO bakit yung name ng aunt mo nasa statement pero s certificate bakit wala Dun? So ganto pag wala yung name ng aunt mo sa both statement and certificate kahit wag mo na iexplain pero pag andun sa statement ung name ng aunt but wla sa certificate no choice kundi iexplain mo kung balit bgla mo pina ammended ung account sa name mo.

Yan di iniisip ko, kung sakali wala na name nung aunt ko both sa bank certificate at saka statements, di ko na lang i-explain, kagaya nung advice ni scorpio sa kabilang thread, less talk, less mistake. Sana di na lumabas.

Hi! I am newbie here.... I already have my approved student visa since November pa...pero di ako makaalis alis because I am still waiting for my partners open work permit. My class will start April 6. He applied for his open work permit last December however refused last week of January. We reapplied last Feb. 18 and his docs was received at CEM last Feb. 23, paper-based. Okay lang po ba if hindi na namin na-include yung medical receipt niya nung 1st application niya? Kasi sabi ng consultancy makikita naman daw sa database nila na may mdeical na siya.. I'm very worried because until wala pang response from the embassy..I'm so depressed right now, di pa ko nagpapabook ng ticket coz we are still hoping na aabot paung visa niya. We are praying na sana next week meron na. Nung 1st application niya it took exactly one month bago namin nakuha ang result ng application niya

Hi,

On his 1st application, reason for refusal were:
1. travel history-- He had travel to India for 3 months to train new hired US licensed nurses, this was sponsored by his employer and a 3 day vacation to Hong Kong and Macau.
2. Limited employment prospect in country of residence-- He is a Care management Clinical Nurse Preceptor (US licensed nurse)-Supervisory level since 2011, He is also a real-estate broker at the same time with one of the biggest real-estate company here.
3. Employment situation---On his 2nd application, we included his job description as a Care mangament nurse preceptor, his philippines RN license, US RN license, his visa screen for US as a registered nurse. All these were not included during his 1st application
4. assets and financial situation--On his 2nd application we have included our Joint account amounting to 1M, his own bank account in his name with 500k balance, our joint shares in stocks, his peso equity fund, land title in his name, and car registration. However, during his 1st application we did not include his bank account in his name and car registration.

We have also included a cover letter on his 2nd application to explain the reason of his refusal.

We applied his application later on because sabi ng consultancy namin dapat daw ma-approve muna and student visa ko bago xa mag-apply ng open work permit..

Im so sad right now kasi wala pang response. We will wait until April 1.

Hi guys. I'm curious about "travel history" as reason for refusal. Ano ba ibig sabihin nun? Does it mean ba na kapag wala kang travel history to other countries ay factor siya for refusal? :-\

Nope. madaming factors, not only no travel history pero pwede ding hindi niya sinunod yung immigration rules Like nag TNT sa isang country, etc. Ako walang travel history maski isa pero n approved. Siguro depende din sa case.

@cad- mam di po ba kayo kumuha ng caips note? Same kayo ng situation ni Ms. Jaycee, pero busy na siya kasi nasa Canada na siya. Ang plan nya is mauuna na siyang pumunta ng Canada then aapply nlang ulit while andun siya

No we did not request for caips notes coz I think that would take 4 weeks bago ma receive.We wanted to re-apply him the soonest hoping na sabay pa din kaming aalis so what we did na lang is we made a cover letter explaining the reasons of refusal and added supporting docs that we think would make his profile stronger.

Akala namin mas mabilis na lang ngayong 2nd application kasi wala ng aantaying medical but the case is otherwise, parang mas matagal ngayon and we've been waiting na for 4 weeks compared sa unang application niya. We are still hoping and praying for the best.
