Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi All,

I just received my letter of acceptance from Seneca for a 1-yr PG program and I would like to take another business course after to give me 3 years PGWP. Has anyone tried this? Or does anyone know anyone who did this?

I don't think a 1-year program will be enough to give me time to process my PR. Would be too risky. Maybe I should think about Lambton College instead.

Yes, you need to apply for a new program after but or course you need to pay for School Reg Fee and Study Permit again ... Sayang naman kung di mo gagamitin yung LOA mo pero para sure na, try getting 2YR program. I suppose to get 1yr PG program sa Canadore but I opt to get 2YR Diploma sa Lambton Toronto as final option pero sa Spring 2021 intake pa See you at Lambton.

there will be no assurance that they will grant you 3 years PGWP for 2 programs. most probably 2 years PGWP or less.
better take 2-year diploma than certificate. better chance of 3-year PGWP.
besides, shorter program will tend to give visa officer to take more look on your real intentions and study plans than taking....let's say longer or higher programs.

1 week na po since na pass ako ng docs online. May biometrics request na ako. Pero yung medical request letter wala pa, normal lang po ba yun? Yung sa friend ko next day may medical request na siya. Sa inyo po ilan days after application nyo na receive medical request letter? Thank you po sa sasagot.

wag muna antayin ang medical request....magpa upfront medical ka na....pwede naman ata.

Actually wife ko nag upfront medical outside Philippines. You can do medical test even before you apply or without medical request letter from IRCC.
Ask mo hospital if they do upfront medical. They will upload your medical result to IRCC.
Mas ok sana before you apply online, kasabay sana ng mga docs mo.

anyway you ask the hospital about it....upfront medical or emedical ang terms...if di nila alam problably hindi available yun.

ia upload lang naman nila result mo sa IRCC...ask mo hospital if accepted ang process...andyan sa link.
pag dumating na yung medical request mo mula IRCC at.....

1. nag open ng upload option of medical request sa iyong GC account....pwede mo naman i upload yung receipt ng emedical or yung medical test result mismo from accredited hospital.
2. kung medical request at walang upload option GC account mo (meaning letter lang na received mo) hospital na mag upload o mag submit ng medical result mo sa IRCC

yun eh kung gusto mo lang magpa medical...pag na reject application mo...lugi ka naman sa medical.
kasi walang namang rejection because of failure to submit ng medical sa application unless you ignore it after receiving medical request.

Sa mga nakatanggal po ng stage 1 approval, pakisabi po kung kailan kayo nanotify. Baka kasi di talaga nila chineck yung eligibility at nag mass approval lang for the sake na makapag online classes ka tapos yun pala rejected so non refundable na fees mo. Thank you po

Kailan po nagsubmit yung friend niyo? Ako kasi nag web form ako asking for a medical request since open naman slec. After 5 business days (since ito daw normal na pag reply sa webform) nakatanggap na ako ng medical request.

Sorry it’s confidential. The main message is that I’m approved and that I should accomplish requested docs for further processing. They may also ask additional documents later on.

I provided more or less P8M to show that I have adequate fund for any additional expenses that may occur. I graduated June 2019 so I’m just supported by my mother since I don’t have that kind of an amount on my own.
