Confused between Points.

Somewhere I read minimum point required : 67
Some other place its in 600 range.

which one is latest can some one pls clarify.

saying "Congratulations! You have been accepted to the Express Entry pool of Candidates."

And Upon checking the page titled, "Application/profile details" (the Table), it now says my Application/profile status is "Open" & Job Bank Registration "Accepted"

Is this completed, Final and ok.

And now I have to wait till ITA.

Please guide.

Both are valid and both are required.

FSW ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

CRS ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

You need to be eligible under FSW stream if you don't have Canadian work experience and you will need 67/100 to qualify there. Then you can create an EE profile where you will be awarded points on a scale of 1200 (the maximum you can score without n LMIA supported job offer or a provincial nomination is 600).

Hi,

Can someone help here .. for work experience

2006-2009 Software Engineer (more close to Code 2173)
2009-2011 MBA
2011 - Present - Consultant (more close to Code 2171).

Which NOC category to select for 2006-09 experience?
will choosing different categories, will that affect anything ?
Or call I put both experiences under one category (2171), as 2171 says that prior experience as software engineer is required.

"Experience as a computer programmer is usually required"

Both experiences relates to IT field only.

Thanks in advance ...

Depends on your roles & responsibilities in that job role. Ignore that 'experience as a....required' line as that is not a mandatory requirement.

If you can get a reference letter for your 2006-09 stint which shows your responsibilities to be similar to main duties under NOC 2171, then you can choose that NOC. Period.

In fact, you can get away with NOT declaring that work experience. Your CRS is already maxed with your current job as you have more than 3 years of experience.

If your primary NOC is 2171, you will get only 13 points for Experience on FSWP scale. If those are good enough for you to hit 67/100, feel free to remove thart 2006-0 experience from your work history because it adds nothing to your profile. Only mention it in Personal history post ITA.

And before you ask, this isn't misrepresentation. This is just partial disclosure and CIC is fine with you declaring only what you need points for in your profile.

Hope that clarifies. All the best!

If it is the same ECA write the same reference number. If they are two diff ECA it will be different reference numbers.

Hi,

It been 6 months i am in the express entry pool with 357 points, with me being the primary application. Now after my wife's IELTS exam, if she becomes the primary applicant, the total score is coming around 430. Can i cancel my profile and make my wife as the primary applicant ?

Yes. Create and activate that profile first and withdraw your existing profile after the new profile is successfully activated.

All the best!
