AWS2007 completed in with around 15 months in stage 2, they are 2 weeks from you. you will get it very soon

i hope anyone hear from the embassy and give us the hope that we all need, insha allah all of us get ppr soon, i read in demascus forum that there's 400 application for family sponsorship, and there's only like 30 of us here so maybe others get ppr everyday our turns soon, we all waited for so long and i know how hard on us, we all get sad depressed and feel lost but remember that was our choice were just unlucky persons because lots of things happen make the waiting time longer but we going to get it soon or later, pray hard God will not forget about us, cheer up family.

Hello All,
I have a question! How long usually it takes when you give your passport until they give it back to you ? Is it the same day? I hope inshallah we will hear something tomorrow
Walahe for me they asked for passport 18 jan 2012 and it reached to embassy by aramex 21 jan 2012 and untill now nothing i hope wensday they call me , ya rb, and enshala all of you hear good nwes.

Hello folks,
I have a question:
If the embassy sends you a PPR inshallah, can you ask someone else to collect the Visa for you? Does the passport holder have to sign a special document for that? Which one is faster, send it by courier direct to the embassy or send the passport for someone and ask him to send it back to you?

Hello Everyone

I'm not really sure I belong in this forum, but I have been following it for some time now.
A little about my self / situation. I am an Iraqi male living in Toronto and last summer (July 2011) I got married in Iraq. It took about 6-7 months to get the proper documents from my wife, and I finally submitted my sponsorship papers as of April 18th 2012 ( thanks to the endless delays ). Now I know that my application is going straight to Amman ( unlike the majority of you on this forum ).
Currently my application is still in Canada, I'm told the wait time is about 90 days and I will get an answer sometime in late July next month.

Just wanted to say I share your pain in waiting for our loved ones to finally join us. Next month will be 1 year since I left my wife back home, and I know for me the wait hasn't even begun yet :_(

Hopefully you'll all be telling me of how your PR's have finally arrived, soon inshallah
Thank you for your time

Welcome to the forum, you are in the right place :D

best of luck and stay in touch!!

Hi everyone
I posted earlier in the Ankara thread hoping for answers but no luck. I will try here.
My applicant is of Iraqi nationality. He has been accepted by Canada for permanent residence, has completed his interview, and medical exams have been received. He is currently living in Syria..the living conditions are not safe at all and he is fearing for his life as there are bombings happening etc..we don't know know if his file has been transferred to Amman or not. Can he move from Syria to Amman where it is safe there and still continue with his application processing?

i think many ppl didn't actually get any confirmation from Amman; u just need to assume ur file is there too; or maybe in Ankara who knows ??? for sure not in Damascus, they r closed :)
i'm sorry for his situation :( he should just flee where he thinks it's safe; he had his interview already so there's no more need of phisical presence at the embassy
at the moment he arrives in the new place he should just send an email to the embassy to let them know of his new location, contact number and mailing address; best of luck and hope he stays safe!!
that's just opinion from my own logic, like u i have no idea of what those officers do or think ;) but they will for sure continue his process no worries there :)

She can call from Canada to the Mississauga office or whichever office her file went to and they will tll her the exact date her file is transferred to Amman. That is what they told me :) So try that to figure out where the file is.

good to know yeah u r right :) they should b able to have that info; also the caips/gcms notes should have that written too but those take maybe 6 weeks to get from what i heard

I called CIC twice and the first time they said Ankara then second time they said all of Iraqi nationality applications for permanent residence were sent to Amman. Will it make the process longer? It will soon be 15 months of phase 2... I tried to contact them again I called about 20-30 times the other day but no one answered. Then I was told told to contact my MP about the situation. I once thought the file was transferred to Ankara so I had sent them an email about email change and they replied back..does that mean the file is there?

i'm not surprised actually that each agent says a different thing :-\ now what did Ankara reply? was it generic response or was it yes we will update ur info; if u really want to know where the file is then either contact the MP and/or order the caips/gcms notes - it has to b written there
at the end amman or ankara, the imp is someone somewhere to work on ur file and give u the visa faster :);) also, either amman or ankara, that should not stop ur husband from leaving syria; good luck!!

I wanted to update my applicant's email address as it was hacked and they wrote back telling me to clarify his date of birth..and when I checked ECAS the line change of address was added :S
